Never Disappoints
I have attended 2 retreats at ECA, in April 2017 and January 2020.

I found my self at ECA originally for med resistant clinical depression, anxiety and chronic inflammation. My second time there I was looking for physical healing as well as spiritual growth. Both experiences changed my life and moved me forward on my path.

During my stays, I could not have asked for a better place to heal and grow. The medicine is strong, the healers are available and attentive, the food and staff make you feel like family and the facilitators, Bobby and Jesse, are amazing in and out of ceremonies.

I appreciate the attention shown to tradition, and the time the healers, Bobby, Jesse and the staff put in to make everyone feel like family and welcome. At some retreats, it is impossible to find the healers for a personal consultation - but here they make it a point to understand why you are there and answer any questions or concerns that come up.

Contrary to a previous review I read, both times I have attended this center the other participants have been mostly middle-aged and older - and a few younger people who were there for their own healing. Part of what I enjoy most about ECA (over other places I have attended) is the community. The conversation is enlightening and I learn from each and every person who found themselves there at the same time as I. Many of them I maintain contact with today.

The grounds are beautiful and offer many places to find solitude and peace, including the private rooms if that's what you choose. The food is healthy, filling, delicious and served with love.

The medicine is the strongest I have had (I have participated elsewhere too) and always leads me right where I need to go. My (our) job is to trust the process and the medicine without resistance and be ready to figure out how to move forward with the given journey.

I appreciate Bobby and Jesse very much - as well as the rest of their family/staff. It is important to feel safe during such experiences - and I have felt that in every ceremony I have attended there. I am not sure how they do it - but someone is always there when they are needed. I have seen other places that do not assist one outside of the maloka - but here they do. It is nice to know someone is paying attention and will be there if I'm unable to care for myself as needed.

I would recommend ECA to anyone interested in healing and growing with the sacred medicines in a traditional way while feeling supported, loved and cared for. Another bonus is the conversation with them does not end after the retreat - they maintain the connection to help any way the can after getting back home. This is a place I will continue visiting for as long as the medicine calls. I look forward to seeing what they do with their new location!

Deeply healing medicine & environment
The medicine they have in Colombia is immensely powerful, I believe this is not due to only the medicine itself but also to the environment, respect, and honor that is held around the traditions at this retreat center. Before joining the retreat at Eagle condor, I had attended a 10 day retreat in Costa Rica a couple years prior. My experience in Costa Rica was also very life-changing, but in a much different way. The deep-seated healing that I was searching for, I only experienced at Eagle condor. The space that is held in Colombia gives you the potential to go as deep as you’re ready for, giving you the possibility to heal not only yourself but the lineage of your ancestors alongside you.
The approach of the shamans (Taitas) are somewhat hands off, there if you ever need them but they are trying to facilitate a space for you to do the healing directly with the medicine on your own.... instead of feeling that you must heal directly through the shaman.
I still feel a very strong connection with the medicine 9 months later... but not only with the medicine, I feel very strong sense of community with every individual I attended the retreat with and also all the facilitators which I continuously stay in touch with. This is a community and a family. I am beyond grateful that I was welcomed in with open arms by everyone.
The only thing that could’ve made this better is some type of outside platform where I could practice my yoga and meditation, there was enough room to do this in my private bedroom and on the grass but would enjoy a platform outside. I highly recommend this retreat center to anyone who is looking to find deep healing with the medicines!

Incredibly potent retreat. Beautiful land. Very powerful medicine and traditions. Wonderful people.
I was greeted by Mark at the airport, who ended up sharing his home with me throughout my stay at ECA. A kind and hospitable man; his wise words, wonderful humor, and guidance aided me in navigating the sometimes murky waters of this sort of inner work. He kept the house lit with comforting wood fire, served me up tea and fried sugar plantain. Great dude!

The food throughout the stay was excellent. The cooks knew exactly what to prepare for this sort of experience. Delicious fish and high protein meals before Yage’ ceremonies. Fruit, salad, and nourishing soups post-ceremony. Very well done. And they genuinely took joy in feeding and nourishing us with wonderful meals. Cooking can be done as an act of love, great food is itself a medicine.

The facilitators were kind, knowledgeable, no-nonsense guys; communicating via the heart. During a particularly rough portion of the retreat Bobby reassured me that the things that were happening were indeed very good, and were evident of the effectiveness of what I seemed to be going through. Jesse helped me to really crack into the core of what I was experiencing, and reminded me to trust the process. The affirmation of trust and acceptance being quite pivotal.

Much happened over the stay, purging on all levels. The facilitators, staff, and were all quite soft and accepting; they maneuver the work with warmth and grace. It is a blessing to have such a space, with such people, in which to practice this sort of heavy inner work.

There I was puking, crapping, cursing, exorcising demons; and they were hugging me, keeping me wrapped in soft warm blankets, and turning my attention to the love they all live and share. I am grateful for ECA for providing such comfort and acceptance while navigating such vulnerable processes.

Their traditions are beautiful, they strike me as quite old and powerful. Mostly beyond my comprehension, all I know is that I respect what they are doing and know it to be a great service to the world.

Potent ceremonies. Ancient medicine. Life really is a gift. Me gusto!

I’ll be going back there for sure.

Life doesn't get more beautiful than this
I had wanted to do plant medicine for a few years and felt when the right place came along I would know it. Eagle Condor Alliance was recommended to me by a good friend so I decided to explore it. I had heard that they support the locals and that felt like the right energy of people to connect with. From the first conversation with Bobby I understood how seriously they took the retreat. He was immediately attentive and kind in answering my questions. Continuing the arrangements, the team showed warmth and patience with any other queries I had so that I felt completely safe to go to Colombia on my own.

As many will say, the experience itself is a very personal one. For me, it's taken a month for me to feel like I can write a review. It was incredible, beyond anything else I've done. While I was there to experience the medicine, it encompassed so much more than I could imagine. I was fortunate to be amongst an incredible group of participants, who became so close throughout. Bobby, Jesse, Hans and Jacob along with the healers held us in a space unlike any other. And Leidi and Maggie, what can I say? The food, the love, the preparation, the support. I genuinely feel and know that I have this family no matter where we all are in the world.

I don't normally make recommendations to others for things so personal because I feel like this experience calls you from the inside. But I can say with my hand on my heart, that this is an extraordinary place to be. Life is more beautiful and I am sure I shall return.

Ever grateful to Eagle Condor Alliance.

Mission & Vision

Our central mission is to spread consciousness, awareness and love by being the bridge between our participants and the ancient traditions and sacred medicines of the Americas.

We are ultimately concerned with conserving the forests of the Americas, starting in Colombia, where these medicines, traditions, and wisdoms are found. Part of the profits of every retreat are dedicated to land conservation and/or social uplift for our elders in Colombia

Participants experience traditional Cofan Ayahuasca (Yage) ceremonies in conjunction with Red Road (El Camino Rojo) San Pedro Cactus and sweat lodge ceremonies. By bringing these traditions and medicines together we do our part to fulfill the ancient Prophecy of the Eagle and the Condor.
