You will be immersed in nature, wake up to the sight of birds & butterflies, hearing the water from the stream flowing. You can soak up the sun, bath in the natural river rock pool or chill in one of the hammocks.
Shankara Retreat Center has a Yoga Shala close by the stream surrounded by lush tropical forest, a chill-out area, various bathrooms, individual and double Glamping tents & a wooden cabin with two rooms. It is a substance free property (no alcohol, smoking, drugs).

Directions
Shankara Retreat Center lies in a very quiet residential neighborhood & is surrounded by nature. Through the property runs a year-round stream with a swimming hole. You can hike up the stream to a beautiful waterfall or just enjoy the cool refreshment in the middle of the jungle. There is plenty of chill-out spaces to rest, read a book or chat with like-minded people. The next town, Platanillo, is only 10 minutes maximum walking distance and has a bus stop, supermarket and organic store/cafe. Dominical, the closest beach town, is 20 minutes away by bus or car.
There is an airport shuttle available from the main airport SJO in San Jose with a company we can recommend. It is 59 USD and brings you to Dominical, the closest beach town. From there you can take a taxi or uber, share a taxi with other participants directly to the center or take the bus to Platanillo from where we can arrange a pickup.
