The land itself is a mandala with a stunning peak in the middle surrounded by four valleys. solo retreat
I spent 21 days in the Prajnaparamita cabin. I can't imagine a better place to do a solo retreat. There were wild horses in the valley below me every day, ravens circling in the sky, the milky way visible at night, and enough space to encourage my mind in the same direction. The staff was very helpful and made sure I had everything I needed. If you are looking to do a solo retreat, I highly recommend Tara Mandala.

money money money
-pay for 4 days course (2x2h per day) = 400 dollars
-pay dana to sangha = 100 dollars
-pay dana to genla 1 = min. 80 dollars
-pay dana to genla 2 = min. 80 dollars
-pay dana to genla 3 = min. 80 dollars
Of course dana is not obligatory, but i felt pushed to pay it in every day by the organizer. Don`t like this style. It remembers me christian community.

Excellent Virtual Retreat with Donla Tsering & Erik Jampa Andersson
Just completed a weekend for Vajrayana students on the lineage of "Yuthok Nyingthig". The depth of teaching and the power of the teachings we impressive--given that we were working virtually. Both Donla and Erik gave 1000% of themselves to convey these complex teachings both theoretically and experientially. It's been my experience both through online teaching & solitary retreat with Tara Mandala that the quality of teaching, warm heartedness, and clear headiness has been exceptional.

The only reason I'd not give this weekend 5 stars---is I wish that headphones/ear buds were used by the teachers to cut down on background noise. In this era of online learning & the various locales we teach from good "aural hygiene" would protect the quality of the sound & recordings. As a highly auditory person, the background noise distracted from the quality of these exceptional teachings.

Retreats
It’s a very special place to participate in retreats, whichever!
The whole surroundings of land and people living and working there makes it what it is , a place to learn, practice and live there and of course the presence of two Lamas . A chance to change in a positive way , even crusted staff has a chance to solve.
