Johnson's Landing Retreat Center

The energy at the Johnson's Landing Retreat Center is unreal. Beautiful people, nourrishing and organic foods, really nice cabins, and the views are stunning. Will definiyelly come bacj for another retreat in the future.

I initially booked a room with a queen bed. When I arrived I was told that there were no more rooms with a queen bed and only shared rooms... OR I could pay more and get a cabin. I have to say that I was very shocked to not have my room that I paid for in advance. The cheeky bit is they sent me a receipt for a shared room. I find this to be quite unappropriate due to the nature of the retreat I was attending. I did not recieve an email explaining that the room I booked was no longer available with options. And I can honestly say this has never happened to me before. This was my first impression.

In addition, the room under both beds was full of dirt. The lodge itself was very beautiful and the view was amazing, but being that it was so dirty, and that I did not get the room I initially booked... I cannot say that I will be returning. I really struggle with allergies pertaining to dust and dirt, and as long as my room is clean for when I am asleep, I am able to cope.

The food was lovely and the hospitality was wonderful. The ambience of nature was very gratifying and I loved the atmosphere of the barn. I just don't feel there was transparency of the rooms, so that was a huge downfall for me. The other girl ended up changing her room once she arrived, as well. So I am not the only person this happened to. We need our space, so we can mindfully get through a retreat and do the work that is required to heal. And rest, as needed.

My experience at the retreat center was exceptional. The land and peaceful, intentional atmosphere there was exactly what I was looking for. The hosts were super kind and generous, ensuring we all had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent. And I loved the labyrinth, all the little stone figures throughout the land, the stary nights, fire, beautiful barn where we did our classes, sauna and above all…the amazing people a place like this attracts. Thank you!

I was very impressed with the Retreat Center, the buildings and grounds are perfection and very comfortable. My private room was cozy and very well kept. Staff were all very helpful and friendly and the meals were exquisite. I love the beauty and remoteness of Johnson's Retreat Center and will certainly consider returning.

The leader of the qi gong activities knew his content thoroughly and presented it in a gentle and informative manner. He was ready and able to answer any and all queries.
