Atherton: 20 mins drive
Cairns: 1 hour and 15 mins
Townsville: 4 hours drive
Flying into Cairns
We recommend hiring a car at the Cairns Airport and driving to us. This will best allow you to fully explore the natural attractions of the Waterfalls and Crater Lakes District of the Atherton Tableland as there is very limited public transport.
From Cairns, drive south to Gordonvale, then travel up the Gillies Highway onto the Atherton Tablelands. Follow the road signs to Lake Eacham. When you are looking at the waterfront at Lake Eacham, drive to the left and Chambers Wildlife Rainforest Lodges on Eacham Close is the first possible turn on the left hand side. The Lodges are a 700 metre scenic drive through the rainforest from the front gate.
