About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

Yagé, more commonly known as ayahuasca, is a sacred medicine often described as a bridge between worlds and a path of remembrance.

With over fifty years of experience, Mama Marta blends Indigenous healing wisdom with her background as a western-trained nurse. Alongside her daughters, Maria and Carolina, she holds a matriarchal healing circle rooted in safety, care, and deep presence. The yagé is prepared using traditional methods from plants native to the jungles of Putumayo, Colombia, and is brewed over five days and nights before being blessed on their sacred land in Tena.

The journey includes intentional preparation and integration, with guided gatherings before and after the retreat to support clarity, grounding, and embodied understanding. Participants also follow a traditional dieta, a sacred practice of physical and energetic preparation that honors the medicine and deepens connection.

Ceremonies take place over three consecutive days on Mama Marta’s land, where the medicine is inseparable from the living earth and ancestral traditions of Colombia. In March 2026, this gathering offers a rare opportunity to experience yagé with an authentic lineage holder in its ancestral homeland.
