About this Retreat
My name is Engels, and I am a dedicated Psychedelic Therapy Facilitator. My path in this work is rooted in a deep belief that within each of us lies an innate capacity for healing, wisdom, and wholeness.
I specialize in creating a safe, compassionate, and grounded container for your journey with sacred plant medicines like Ayahuasca. My approach is holistic, weaving together my training in somatic therapy, transpersonal psychology, and trauma care with a profound respect for indigenous traditions.
The cornerstone of our retreat is the living wisdom of the guides who hold the space. We are humbled to collaborate with Taitas and shamans who carry forward lineages of heart-centered, intentional medicine. Their presence offers a bridge to ancient grounding practices, ensuring the journey is guided with both profound depth and genuine care.
My role is not to guide your journey but to guide you through it, to help you navigate the landscapes of your own consciousness with confidence. I am here to offer unwavering support, to help you integrate your insights, and to honor the profound courage it takes to embark on this path of self-discovery.
My deepest honor has been to walk alongside respected Maestros in your ceremonies, supporting the sacred container. This profound experience has taught me that the true magic lies in witnessing an individual's courageous journey back to their own essence. It is a privilege to be a part of that process—to see someone release what no longer serves them and step into a life illuminated with clarity, purpose, and vibrant vitality.
I am here to hold space for your transformation.

Sacred & Vital Ayahuasca Retreat
Ometepe Island, Nicaragua | March 12–18
This retreat is designed for those who feel called to work with plant medicine responsibly, slowly, and with integrity, not as an escape, but as a conscious step in their life.
Held on the volcanic island of Ometepe, surrounded by jungle and water, this is a small-group retreat focused on safety, preparation, ceremony, and real integration.
We work with a trusted Taita whose lineage is recognized for its grounded, heart-centered, and intention-driven medicine. The container is intimate, calm, and carefully held.
This retreat may be right for you if:
• You have done personal work but feel something deeper hasn’t shifted
• You are navigating grief, addiction patterns, burnout, or life transition
• You value preparation, sobriety, and integration as much as ceremony
• You want a traditional, respectful approach, not a psychedelic experience
What the retreat includes:
• 5-day or 7-day immersion options
• Shared or private accommodations in nature
• Clean dieta-style meals
• Carefully guided Ayahuasca ceremonies
• Daily integration circles and grounding practices
• Quiet time, nature immersion, and reflection
Important notes:
This retreat is not suitable for everyone.
Participants must be willing to:
• Abstain from alcohol, drugs, and contraindicated medications
• Follow preparation guidelines before arrival
• Take responsibility for their own process and integration
This is not about “fixing” yourself.
It is about creating the conditions for honesty, safety, and deep listening.
Spaces are intentionally limited to preserve the integrity of the work.
Welcome to Ometepe, more than a destination, it is a living, breathing sanctuary. Largest island in a freshwater lake in the world, UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Born from the elemental union of two volcanoes rising from the vastness of Lake Nicaragua, this island has been a place of pilgrimage and power for millennia.
Ometepe’s spirit is one of profound duality and harmony: the fierce, ascending energy of Volcán Concepción (Fire) meets the deep, receptive wisdom of Volcán Maderas (Water).
This unique geology creates a natural container for transformation.
Ancient peoples recognized this sacred power, leaving over 1,700 petroglyphs as eternal whispers in stone.
Today, a thriving community of guardians, farmers, and healers nurtures this energy.
For your journey with Sacred and Vital, Ometepe is not merely a backdrop.
It is an active participant in your healing, a timeless landscape where the elements guide you to release, ground, and ascend.
