About this Retreat
Hi, I'm Skip.
I spent years trying to fix myself and ease my suffering, chasing the next tool or modality that I hoped would finally change the way I felt inside. But no matter what I tried, the lasting peace, fulfillment, and sense of wholeness I longed for always seemed to elude me.
Everything changed when I stopped chasing healing and resisting what was here, and began meeting life directly with presence and honesty.
That shift began a process of deep transformation, one that did not come from effort or control, but from fully allowing what was here in the moment, releasing what no longer served me, and discovering a deeper truth within.
Now, I guide others through their own process of growth, change, and transformation. I offer a grounded, heart-centered, nonjudgmental space to explore your inner world and integrate the deeper wisdom within your experience.
If you are ready to integrate the parts of your experience that have kept you feeling stuck and discover what is already whole within you, I would be honored to support your journey.
Greg composes and performs gong immersions. As a composer, sound practitioner, and teacher, he listens, learns, and refines how sound meets the body, the mind, and the unseen layers of experience. Through vibration, what has been held beneath the surface is allowed to move. The mind's constant comparing, analyzing, and replaying begins to quiet, and the body is given space to settle and return to its natural rhythm. As the nervous system regulates, there is an opportunity to drop fully into the present, meeting each moment directly as it is, nothing to fix, change, or turn away from. This work holds space where people feel free to show up honestly, be met fully, and build together spaces of safety.
Sarah Trapkus is a Spiritual Guide, Energy Healer and Coach for high-achieving women who are done building their success from over-functioning survival strategies. She helps them clarify their vision, genius, and authentic essence so they can move forward with passion and purpose and stop being haunted by the pressure.
Sarah was diagnosed with C-PTSD while pregnant with her third child, and finally understood the survival strategies running her own life. For the last 25+ years, she's been strategically dismantling them one emotion, behavior, and belief at a time. What's emerged is real wealth: not just in business and relationships, but in time, energy, and presence.
Sarah created The Emotional Alchemy Certification Program®, training coaches in her proven methodology of shifting emotional energy and aligning to your truest path. Her goal: unshakable trust in yourself and in life, so true freedom and full creative expression become possible.
She lives with her partner and three children on the Baduwa't, on Northern California's wild coast. You can work with her 1:1, or join her at an in-person retreat. Learn more at www.sarahtrapkus.com
Details of this retreat
You're feeling stuck, and wondering what needs to change, but the first step is remembering who you've always been.
Let us support you in this remembering.
Heartwood provides the foundation: a place of relaxation, spaciousness, and permission to let go. Throughout the weekend, guided meditation and inquiry, reflective coaching, journaling, and immersive sound experiences build upon that foundation. This weekend is an invitation into stillness. A chance to step away from the noise, reconnect with yourself, and meet what's actually here.
We See You
You feel stuck and it seems like life is conspiring to keep you there.
But what if your circumstance isn't the problem? What if it's how you've been relating to it?
You're really good at 'doing fine' and not rocking the boat. You take on a lot - more than your share.
This is how you've learned to navigate the challenges of life, but this way of relating creates distance from yourself and from what matters most: the quiet wisdom that's always available beneath the constant noise of your full life.
You're so ready for something different, and yet you keep running the same patterns. The clarity you're looking for doesn't seem to come.
What if all it takes is learning to meet your experience differently? What if this is what opens the door to a completely different way of moving through life?
We know that replaying old decisions, wondering if you missed your window and loosing trust with yourself is only because you're stuck in a pattern, not in life itself.
What Becomes Possible When You Join Us
Imagine putting the "fine" version of you down and not performing anymore. Imagine actually allowing yourself to meet what's here and no longer avoiding and resisting how you feel.
Imagine simply meeting life's challenges with openness and curiosity without trying to change anything.
Imagine discovering that even the experiences you wouldn't have chosen can hold unexpected wisdom, to the point of full acceptance.
Imagine moving through life with greater clarity, deeper trust and a little less effort simply because your relationship to it has begun to shift.
That's the invitation.
This Weekend Is Truly For You
This weekend is for anyone ready to meet what's underneath the patterns, the mental noise and your connection to yourself.
You don't need to be in crisis and no one else can give you permission.
You are the only one who can lead yourself forward so the wisdom within you is more accessible.
We're here to help create the conditions for this experience.
The Arc of the Weekend
We guide you on a path that unfolds one step at a time, is supported by the land and held in a safe and nourishing container that we set, together.
Friday | 7:30–9:00 PM
We begin with a welcome circle where we orient to this place and set our intentions and tone for the weekend ahead.
Skip guides a meditation and inquiry to help you settle, slow down, and begin meeting whatever you've carried into the weekend with greater awareness.
Greg closes the evening with a sound immersion, allowing the body to soften and settle into what the mind has begun to explore.
Saturday | 10:00–11:30 AM
Skip offers guidance exploring a different way of relating to thoughts, emotions, and life's challenges. The session concludes with a guided meditation, offering an opportunity to experience these principles directly.
Saturday | 4:00–5:30 PM
Circle, coaching, and journal work with Sarah.
What's surfaced over the day stops being a private noticing and starts being spoken, written and witnessed. This is a space to recognize meaningful patterns, deepen your understanding, and integrate what is ready to move forward.
Saturday | 7:30–9:30 PM
A sound immersion with Greg. The longest and deepest of the weekend, where insight settles into the body and becomes felt, not just understood.
Sunday | 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
We come together as a full circle with Skip, Sarah, and Greg all present.
Through reflection, conversation, journaling, and integration, we close the weekend together with an invitation to carry this deeper awareness into everyday life.
What This Weekend Makes Possible

Fresh perspective on patterns that have felt difficult to navigate.
A renewed sense of connection with yourself.
