About this Retreat
Colter Wild is the founder of Wild Shamanics, a nature-based retreat organization creating transformative experiences through adventure, embodiment, authentic connection, and community. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Utah and is a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), Reiki Level II Practitioner, certified wilderness first responder, and trained facilitator in mindfulness, breathwork, and psychedelic integration.
Drawing from science, nature-based spirituality, queer culture, and trauma-informed practices, Colter weaves together yogic inspired movement, breathwork, meditation, ritual, and group process to create experiences that foster healing, resilience, and belonging.
Raised in the mountains of Utah, Colter believes our deepest transformations happen not by escaping life, but by remembering our place within the living world. His retreats invite participants to reconnect with themselves, one another, and nature through curiosity, courage, play, and authentic community.

A Nature, Adventure & Embodiment Journey for Men
September 16-20, 2026 | Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina
Step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with what matters most.
Pulse of the Wild is a 5-day, 4-night immersive retreat combining outdoor adventure, embodiment practices, mindfulness, and authentic community in the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains. Through hiking, waterfall exploration, yoga-inspired movement, breathwork, meditation, workshops, campfires, and meaningful conversation, you'll reconnect with your body, cultivate lasting friendships, and rediscover a deeper sense of aliveness, belonging, and purpose.
This retreat is rooted in queer values of authenticity, consent, creativity, embodiment, and chosen family. While many participants identify as gay, bi, queer, trans, gender-fluid, or masc-aligned non-binary, we warmly welcome trans and cisgender men, as well as masc-aligned non-binary folks of all sexual orientations who genuinely resonate with this culture of openness, respect, and mutual care.
No previous experience with yoga, meditation, or men's work is necessary. Come as you are. Whether you're navigating a life transition, craving meaningful connection, seeking adventure, or simply longing to spend more time in nature, you'll find a welcoming community ready to explore alongside you.
