Day 1: Travel to Manu Reserve
Welcome.
8:00 am – Transportation is arranged and we meet at the mountain house to store items before our journey to the jungle. At 9:00am we begin our journey to the Manu Reserve. From the high Andes down to elevations above 700 meters. The vistas are beautiful as we travel together. Arrival at the jungle retreat center is typically before dark. After we settle into our rooms we will enjoy a beautiful dinner.
Day 2: Kambo and First Night Ayahuasca Ceremony
We encourage everyone to have a ceremony with Kambo in the morning, however it is not mandatory. Some may be energized, some may feel tired. A nearby hike is optional to explore the jungle. Visit waterfalls, see the forest, and feel the energy of our surroundings in the Manu Reserve.
Return to the retreat center for lunch. Private time for consultations before the ceremony, to discuss intentions and answer questions. Our first Ayahuasca ceremony begins at 8pm.
Day 3: Private Consultations, Kambo Ceremony, and Evening Class
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included and will be available at flexible times, so you can rest as you wish. We will start by having a sharing circle to discuss the previous evenings ceremony. Individual consultations with the shaman will be scheduled for the afternoon. If you need translation or would like support, a facilitator will be present. Evening class: After dinner, if you wish, you can participate in a class on an esoteric or historical subject the group chooses together. More than 20 classes are available, depending on the guests’ wishes. Or you may rest and prepare for the next ceremony.
Day 4: Second Night Ayahuasca Ceremony
Breakfast, followed by a short group meeting to discuss the evening ceremony. The remainder of the time can be used for exploration, meditation, reading, or other activities. There will be a wonderful and robust lunch to recover your strength before the evening ceremony.
Our second Ayahuasca ceremony begins at 8pm.
Day 5: Exploration, Integration, and Relaxation
After breakfast we will have another sharing circle to discuss the evening ceremony the day before followed by lunch. There will be an optional jungle walk to the nearby river where guests can swim if they wish or sit and listen to the water. In the evening we will have delicious dinner and follow up with an optional Evening Class.
Day 6: Morning Ayahuasca Ceremony Day
We will have a third Ayahuasca ceremony in the morning on this day. We begin at 9am and likely finish around 1pm. There will be lunch available for those that wish to eat, or you can have your lunch withheld until you are ready for it. A fantastic dinner will be presented later in the evening as well, and we will discuss our day ceremony in the evening.
The facilitators will request an early night so that everyone is well-rested before our return journey to the mountains the following day.
Day 7: Return to the Mountains
We begin at 8am with a light breakfast. We need to leave by 9am so that there is time to stop and take pictures, explore, and search for souvenirs. When we arrive in Paucartambo we will stop and take a look at this beautiful mountain village. Then again we will stop in Pisac in the afternoon for shopping and perhaps a light snack or meal in a restaurant if guests wish. Dinner will be waiting for us only an hour away in Cusco near the Temple of the Moon. After dinner we will have an optional meeting near the fire and discuss our ceremony with Huachuma (San Pedro) the following day.
Day 9: Departure Day
A very light breakfast will be available for those who request it. Some papaya is all that is recommended.
Huachuma ceremony begins at 10am. The medicine will last all day. A cleansing ritual will be performed by a Q’ero shaman at some point during the ceremony. In the early afternoon an amazing fruit bowl will be served. Often guests say this is their favorite meal, and we can thank the medicine for that.
In the late afternoon there will be a walking tour of the Temple of the Moon. The temple is close by and the walk is easy, and with Huachuma by our side it is a profound experience. Shortly after we return dinner will be available, often soup and bread with butter, followed by a piece of sweet bread or cake. Huachuma will still be with us as we sit around a fire. There we will discuss our experiences. We will share, laugh, and enjoy the company of our fellow travelers. We will go to our rooms when ready, though the medicine often stays with us until late.
Day 9: Departure Day
Breakfast available when you wish. After we will discuss integration and how our integration support program works after retreat. Many spend this day sharing, laughing, and enjoying stories from the previous days’ ceremonies.
Guests depart according to their flight, or be dropped off at another hotel or hostel. You are also welcome to extend your stay at the mountain house, where the staff can care for you until you are ready to leave. Lunch and dinner are available but not included due to varying departure times.
