Alan (often called 'Swami' Alan), has run men's yoga groups in the West Country (UK) for over ten years. Alan has worked extensively in education, from primary to post-grad, including the prison service. Alan gained a PGCE (Professional Graduate Certificate in Education) from Bath Spa University. He holds a senior grade in the Korean martial art of Taekwon do and has done a 200hr yoga teacher training course with the Centre of Excellence, gaining recognition for Continuing Professional Development (CPD). His teaching style is light-hearted, but disciplined. He uses humour and anecdote to aid learning. He demonstrates asanas and moves about whilst teaching, adjusting learner's poses. Applying knowledge about anatomy and physiology gained from his work as a medical illustrator, 'Swami' Alan imparts a 'nuts and bolts' approach to yoga.

Craig's specialisms are meditation and pranayama, he will take charge of this aspect of our weekend retreat at Waterperry.

He has completed a 200hr meditation and mindfulness teacher training course and a 100hr pranayama course with the Yoga Alliance. Craig is an initiate of babaji's Kriya Yoga under M.G Satchidananda. He is first aid trained to FREC4, PHTLS.
