A royal palace of well-being, this beautiful 14th-century fort was sensitively converted to become a Six Senses sanctuary of wellness. Did not deliver what they say they will
One of the highlights of this retreat, one of the main reasons I booked this retreat was the promise of going to a luxury hamman experience in Morocco. But apparently no one double checked the reservation for 10+ people so the spa was not able to accommodate at the 'last minute'.
I think that just speaks to the incompetence of those in charge of the details.
Their response felt like 'oh well, these things happen'
I did get a refund for the cash amount but I didn't have extra days in Morocco for me to book another spa appointment. I figured this retreat would be a complete experience (based on the description on the website), and once in a lifetime chance.
They tried to blame the spa for not having the reservation, but I'm wondering why no one on their side had time to do a simple confirmation for the reservation. There were a lot of little things throughout that was not taken care of or poorly planned, like it was thrown together last minute.
The yoga instructor was great, very professional.
But overall it was a huge disappointment.

Amazing first experience! Definitely not my last
I was very hesitant when I came to apply for this retreat as it was my first time doing something like this. I had been doing yoga for a year and although I love it I'm not anywhere close to being pro so I was a little bit intimated.

Now that I have experienced it I am so happy that I did apply and have absolutely no regrets. Everything was extremely well organised. The Dolomites are of course a magical place but the hotel was on another level. It felt like I was in a fairytale... just being there... surrounded by all that beauty was in itself highly therapeutic.

All the yoga sessions were amazing and I could keep up with all the moves. The women I was with were fantastic. Erin and Tara were amazing hosts and they really took care of us. I loved all the activities organised including the wine tasting, the cooking class, the visit to the village of Merano, the forest bathing experience. It was a week packed with activities and yet we still also had time to relax and unwind and had time for ourselves.

It was truly an amazing experience and I will definitely do it again.
