About ibogaine:
The entheogen iboga has unique healing properties related to neuroplasticity, a time when the mind is easily able to ingrain new choices and behaviors. It can also induce oneiric states, a waking dream effect. Ibogaine is a naturally occurring alkaloid obtained by extraction from the Tabernanthe iboga plant, it is used in West Africa (Gabon and bordering countries) for medicinal and ritual purposes of initiation and rites of passage.
Ibogaine is a plant-based medicine that is highly effective in helping the mind and body to make deep, lasting shifts in thinking and behavior. It has also been found to exert long lasting actions on GDNF expression and signaling, helping the brain to strengthen and create new neuron connections.
Ibogaine works in the mind and psychological self, allowing a person to release stories and patterns clearing the path to start developing new ways of being and behaving. It releases the blocks so that we may experience ourselves more fully and experience life deeply grounded in our humanness.
We offer a dose used by Claudio Naranjo as a therapeutic experience, a process of deep self-revelation guided by consciousness.
From his perspective, shaped by Transpersonal Psychology and his work with expanded states, ibogaine would be seen as:
A catalyst for insight: it helps bring clarity to unconscious patterns, ego defenses, and inner dynamics with less filtering.
A lucid confrontation with oneself: not as dissolving as other medicines, but more “awake,” where the inner observer remains active.
A process of re-education of the psyche: it allows for a reorganization of one’s relationship with habits, impulses, and conditioning, especially in the context of addiction.
A journey with an ethical quality: Naranjo spoke of contact with a “moral consciousness” or an inner intelligence that guides toward what is essential and true.
An integrative experience: it’s not just about the journey itself, but how that material translates into real-life transformation.
