About this Retreat
Details of this retreat
Spiral into your true nature. Step into the Mandala Dance of Tara: A Blessing and Empowerment.
During the weekend we will share dance, dharma and ritual practices based on traditional Buddhist teachings brought into meaning for our world today. By invoking the Buddha Goddess Tara we embody our own divine feminine essence. Tara is known as “Mother of the Buddhas” and for her qualities of Wisdom, Compassion, and Power. Join us as we sing, dance, and celebrate our interconnectedness with all!
Our teacher, Prema Dasara, has been a student of the dharma for over forty years. She is best known for her creation of the Mandala Dance of the 21 Praises to Tara, which has inspired many and has been blessed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, His Holiness the Karmapa, Tai Situ Rinpoche, Bokar Rinpoche, among other exceptional teachers of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
The dances and practices are open to all. No prior knowledge or experience is necessary to participate in and experience the joy and blessings of these dances. “With this sacred offering the earth and all beings are blessed and healed that all may be happy and free from suffering.”
“...with your motivation of compassion, this dance in the name of Tara brings a great blessing. Wonderful…very, very fine.” ~ His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama
“...a perfect offering, a manifestation of Tara’s blessing.” ~ H.E. Dagmo Kushok Sakya
“..transmits a great depth of devotion…share it with the world.” ~ H.E. Tai Situ Rinpoche
