Arkana Retreat in the Amazon
I am writing this review later than I had anticipated due to my desire to give some time between the completion of the retreat and ample time to truly reflect on my time at Arkana. I had the opportunity to experience this life altering spiritual center from May 24th-May 30th of this year in the comeliness of the Amazon jungle. Allow me to start with how magnificent the people whom work there are. From the kitchen staff, security staff, the people who would keep the center tidy and clean, and any staff member that I have forgotten to mention. Akana's facilitators. These genuinely kind hearted men and women were the of how our spiritual journey progressed. The facilitators were at every ceremony supporting all of us with whatever came up. From needing a guide to the restroom, to cooling towels to place on our head (due to my body feeling hot, I needed a cooling helmet one night), to just sitting and holding the hand of a participant that needed comfort. Each ceremony was just as wonderful and beneficial as the one before. Having the chance to share our experience with the other participants the next morning after each ceremony only added to my joy, understanding, and connection to these people and to myself. The music was soothing and was like a silk thread, further connecting us to the medicine and the shamans. The shamans are the backbone of Arkana. The icaros from the shamans were hauntingly beautiful. Lest I not forget to give a massive shoutout and heart felt thank you to Jose. Without Jose there would be no Arkana. So, would I suggest that you take the time to an Arkana retreat? Yes is not a strong enough word. This was a deeply healing experience for me and its something I share with the other participants, some of which I am involved in a group chat with monthly check ins. I will absolutely be going sooner than later. If you are serious about wanting to start your own journey of healing, I whole heartedly suggest that you start this journey with Arkana. Thank you for your time and thank you to Arkana and every wonderful human involved. Peace and love.

An Experience I’ll Never Forget 🤍
My week at Arkana was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely cared for. The facilitators, shamans, and staff created an environment where I felt safe, supported, and respected throughout the entire journey.

The setting in the Amazon is breathtaking and peaceful, making it easy to disconnect from everyday life and reconnect with yourself. Every detail reflected the care and intention that went into creating this experience. I also have to mention the food. I wasn’t expecting meals of that quality in the middle of the Amazon, but every dish was fresh, delicious, beautifully prepared, and nourishing. The accommodations, daily activities, and integration sessions all exceeded my expectations.

The ceremonies were deeply personal and, at times, incredibly challenging, but I never felt alone. The guidance I received, both during and after the ceremonies, helped me navigate the process with trust and confidence.

I left with a renewed sense of gratitude, a deeper understanding of myself, and tools that I continue to use in my daily life. If you are sincerely seeking healing, personal growth, or a deeper connection with yourself, I highly recommend Arkana. I am profoundly grateful to everyone who made this experience possible.

Life changing experience (actually)
I've done ayahuasca before. I thought I knew what to expect. Arkana showed me how little I actually knew.

Over four nights of ceremony plus a Sapo experience, I went places inside myself I didn't know existed. I found a lonely boy I'd been outrunning my entire adult life. I understood for the first time what has actually been driving my behaviour for four decades. Not the convenient story I'd been telling myself - the real one underneath it.

None of that happens without the facilitators and the Shipibo shamans. What these people carry is extraordinary. The icaros aren't background music - they are the medicine. There were moments the singing reached inside me and pulled something out that I couldn't have accessed any other way.

The entire team created a container where I felt completely safe to fall apart. And I did fall apart. Multiple times. I was humbled, overwhelmed and physically drained. But it felt like home. So much so I want to go back!

I came home a different person. Not in a dramatic, unrecognisable way. In the quiet way that actually sticks. I know what matters now. I know who matters.

If you're considering Arkana and wondering whether it's worth it - it's not a question of worth. It's a question of whether you're ready to see yourself clearly. If you are, there is no better place to do it.

A truly perfectly organised and run retreat for a life-changing experience.
This is, by far, one of the best well-run, most professional, well-organised, caring, and life-changing centres I have ever been to.

I've lived in six different countries over the last ten years, visited over 44 different countries, and stayed in hundreds of thousands of different towns, villages, and remote locations.

This is, by far and easily, in the top three experiences that I have ever encountered.

From the booking experience, from the step-by-step detailed guide on how to get from your location all the way to the centre, to the communication in the build-up, to the information shared on how to get the best out of the experience, to the retreat itself and then the delivery of you back safe and sound into your nearby town. I would love to be able to sit here and say, "If they could do one thing better, it would be X," but there is literally nothing I can think of.

Having had experience with previous plant medicines, I knew that the medicine that Arkana provided would be more intense, and so there was a level of fear going into this experience. A fear that was completely dissipated when I saw the level of professional care and attention to detail that the Arkana Spiritual Centre provides.

My personal experience was from the 24th of May in the Arkana Amazon Centre. Every single member of the Arkana team goes far above and beyond anything I would expect, and the level of hospitality wipes the floor with any five-star hotel I've ever stayed in.

This is an organisation and a centre that truly gets to know you personally and gives you the individual attention to guide you through the journey you need to go on.

I have already recommended this to three people who are thinking about going on this experience, and if there was the ability to give this seven stars out of five, then I would.

Thank you, Arkana. Thank you to all the team. Thank you for the experience you gave me, and thank you for making me feel so safe during this experience.
