About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

An 8-day Shamanic Healing & Cultural Immersion in Oaxaca, Mexico.

Step into a sacred journey in the heart of the Mazatec mountains, where healing is found not only in ceremony but also in the rhythm of daily life, the beauty of the land, and the wisdom of an unbroken lineage.

This 8-day retreat invites you into a profound cultural immersion with the Mazatec people, a way of experiencing medicine, spirit, and community that cannot be separated from its roots.

From the moment you arrive in Huautla de Jiménez, you will be welcomed into a living tradition.

The retreat begins with a traditional pilgrimage, a moment where prayers, offerings, and hearts meet with the land and medicine of Huautla de Jiménez, home of the great Maria Sabia.

Throughout the week, you will be guided not only through traditional ceremonies, but also through the everyday practices, stories, and customs that form the foundation of Mazatec healing.

In this holistic experience, medicine is not extracted or separated, it is woven into the fabric of life, into song, prayer, food, family, and the land itself.

In this retreat:

We will be visiting the beautiful traditional town of Huautla de Jiménez at 2000m high up in the mountains, to sit with Indigenous Wisdom Keeper Doña Eugenia Casimiro where we will experience ceremony and knowledge sharing with her and her community.

Our mission for this retreat is to not just be a healing medicine retreat but to be a cultural immersion into the Mazatec Healing Traditions which are so unique and rare to experience.

Therefore, throughout the week we will be weaving a mixture of ceremonies, earth and water offerings, workshops, integration circles, and moments of pure rest and silence to soak up the magic of the experience in our own personal way.

This is a deep and playful adventure journey back to the source!
