About this Retreat
Mayor Lorenzo Morales from Putumayo, Colombia, is a respected leader and guide in the realm of traditional Yage Cofan Medicine. His background as a former governor reflects his deep commitment to his community and to the preservation of traditional practices.
Lorenzo's journey with the sacred Amazonian plant is marked by extensive learning and experience. He has gained invaluable insights through collaborations with the highest Cofán authorities and esteemed curacas from diverse lineages. In his role as a leader of our retreats,
Lorenzo imparts wisdom and offers guidance in the spiritual and healing practices associated with traditional medicine. His approach is rooted in fostering understanding and harmony, aligning with the principles of unity and well-being for all humanity.
Thomas is the leader of Tour Nomad Healing and Awakening retreats. He graduated as a professor of Theology and English. After several years of extensive travel, he lived in Cuba for 16 years.
He heard the call to continue his travel and settled down in Playa del Carmen 8 years ago. He has specialized in plant medicine and is also a Hapé master who received sacred teaching from master teachers in Peru and Colombia. He is an accredited Shamanic Practicioner (IEHA), RYS-200 yoga teacher and singing bowl therapist
Thomas combines his knowledge of Theology with Spirituality, and helps to find the path that leads beyond religion. He is deeply connected to natural healing techniques, with a high respect of the indigenous wisdomkeepers and healers, leading special spiritual retreats of plant medicine, working with initiated, Shamans and Curanderos of Central and South America.

🌿 Ayahuasca or yagé, as it is known in Colombia, is a medicine that has been used by the Amazonian peoples thousands of years ago, in order to heal various diseases on the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual plane. Yagé contains various active ingredients, one of the most important of which is DMT, which acts on the pineal gland, activating it to allow for a profound expansion of human consciousness. This is why the consumption of yagé accompanied by icaros (traditional indigenous songs) and medical music together with the healing of the taitas during the ceremony, help to overcome fears, phobias, resentments, depression, anguish, resentment, anxiety and all kinds of blockages and emotional situations, which in many cases end up manifesting in physical illnesses.
The retreat is limited to 15 participants at a time. We orgnaize monthly retreats, in case the capacity is full, you can come for the next month's retreat.
*Bring a hammock, blanket, Sleeping bag, bagpack, easy-dry clothes, rain boots and raincoat
**Patients with antibiotic, psychiatric or heart medication, it is advisable to suspend their medication 7 days before the ceremony, prior communication with the organizer and the Mayor.
* Avoid consumption of alcohol or other drugs for at least 7 days before the retreat.
* It is optional to bring an offering of candles, copal, tobacco

Directions
You should arrive to Puerto Assis airport (PUU) where we will meet and leave to the venue. After the retreat the dropoff will be also at the Puerto Assis airport.

The retreat takes place in the jungle, deep in the nature. The accommodation is RURAL! No beds, no air conditioning, we will sleep in hammocks and shower in cold shower. You can also bath in the creek that runs across the property. Mosquito repellent is suggested.

We will have local traditional meals in a vegan way. Our housekeeper will provide us healthy but high energy meals that fits to the dieta required by the Taita.
