Kathy Garrett, Ph.D., is a SoulCollage® facilitator, retreat guide, leadership coach, consultant, and professor. She integrates a range of creative contemplative practices into her spirituality and work, finding that they nurture intuition, cultivate wholeness, and invite a deeper encounter with the Divine. She is committed to the art of holding space, creating welcoming and inclusive spiritual environments that invite deep reflection, authentic connection, and personal transformation. She also serves in Mission Advancement with the Handmaids of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, inspired by their welcoming charism and unconditional love.
Details of this retreat
This will be a development retreat for facilitators of retreats and programs of all types. We will explore together the art and practice of holding space for others as we deepen our facilitator gifts for offering programs. In a circle of companions, with discussion, reflection, experiential exercises, and peer learning, facilitators will strengthen their capacity to create welcoming, supportive, and transformative experiences for others. Topics include presence and deep listening; creating safety and trust; navigating emotions and group dynamics; and boundaries and facilitator self-awareness. Pre-reading is Holding Space by Heather Plett, and we will be guided by this book.

I really enjoyed the class! Weaving is more difficult than I expected but I finished my project at home and am pretty happy with it!
