Details of this retreat

Thornless cactus of the Lophophora Williamsii family, or Hikuri, comes from Northern Mexico. Its use among the Mara'kames of the Wixarica (Huichol) people dates back to millenary times, governing through ceremonies all aspects of daily and religious life, the agricultural calendar. For thousands of years it has been used in traditional medicine as a powerful diagnostic tool and, on a spiritual level, a harmonizer of spirits, protector of family, marriage and peaceful coexistence.

Wrong Schedule, Wrong Food, Didnt feel comfortable

When i came, the schedule was totally different to what i booked. I booked first day introduction, second day Kambo and Bufo, and third Day Temascal and Ayahuasca. Rape was 10min after my arrival on the first day and the Temascal right after, without any proper introduction, Bufo supposedly right after the Temascal and Ayahuasca the next morning. I just joined the Rape half of the Temascal session. I joined the dinner and left retreat right away, because i didnt feel comfortable.
The dinner (one night before the wrongly planned Ayahuasca) was fish (against the recommended diat) even thiugh they advertised „Vegan and vegetarian detox meals“.

This is not a professional setting.

I have been to other retreats centers who offered professionell and genuine healing. For me, this is definitely not one of them.

Transformative

Hard to put in words how transformative of an experience this was. When they say let go of expectations and resistance I thought I knew what that meant but I had a lot to learn.

Patience, trust and surrender were some of my teachings and were nothing like the intentions I set at the start but they were the lessons I had to learn.

Sara, Sofia and Rene were all lovely and conducted each ceremony with so much love and care. The food was incredible and the jungle and all its animals (spider monkeys, salamanders, birds etc) were a pleasant surprise throughout and in between ceremonies.

Forever grateful for this experience.

Incredible, Amazing, Fantastic!

My experience was incredible in every way that La Hacienda could control. It’s hard to control flight schedules of planes, but even that can be appreciated.
When I had a headache Sara providing incredible support and adjustment and I wasn’t the only one that adjustments were made for. Her, the staff, and La Hacienda were and are incredible hosts/guides. Talented gurus, guides, medicine experts. The cultural experience covered so much…music, food, language, exercise, history, spiritual instruction and guidance, medicine knowledge and insight, and powerful healing practices and opportunities.

Absolutely beautiful 😍❤️😍

This place and the people there are really special! I felt so cared for. I went in a little scared but trusting the process and myself that it was right for me and it was everything I could have hoped for and more! Sara and Renee were the two facilitators and each facilitated different plant medicines. They both have very strong, clean centered energy and wisdom. This medicine is not to be taken lightly and preparation and intention is very important. Not everyone in my group was prepared and not everyone had a positive experience. For me, there was a lot of emotional and physical release. It's hard to describe for one who has an experienced it, but with the medicine, I felt grateful for all of it even when I was vomiting. The natural beauty and all of the cool animals also shaped my experience. I saw dozens and dozens of monkeys and a few capybara and scorpions and really cool lizards and birds. I spent hours laying in a hammock watching the monkeys. This place connected me back to myself and gave me a love for life that I have lacked for most of my life. 💖💖💖

Life Changing for the Ochoa Family

First off Antonio, Sara, Federico and the rest of the staff were amazing. Sofia with the yoga and sound sessions amazing. We did the 5 day Retreat. We arrived 2 days early and got used to the surrounding area and accommodations. Federico helped us with everything we needed. Each session of each day was amazing. Monkeys cross the property at about 3pm and hangout towards the Temazcal. Food was great and fresh fruit water each day. My wife Jenneva and I went in ready to let the medicines do what they do and the support we had after the Kambo, Aya & Bufo was on point. Rene was out Kambo & Aya shaman and the music tones sounds he played took us to great beautiful places. Sara did our Bufu & Temazcal super great experience. Before we even arrived we used WhatsApp to communicate all questions and concerns answered very quickly we will be going again. In fact already reached out to Antonio. 6 out of 5 stars ⭐️ easily.
