About this Retreat
Autumn founded Ambuja Yoga in 2014 as a way to not only share her love of yoga, travel & adventure but as a way to cultivate intention, courage, grace and joy in her students. Since Ambuja Yoga’s start, Autumn has led nearly 25 yoga retreats in the United States and abroad. She has been featured on Insider.com, Self.com, Zappos.com, TravelMag.com and many more online publications.
Autumn Adams seamlessly blends her education in dance, Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga into dynamic, flowing classes that gently challenge her students to break old habits and move beyond perceived limitations. Autumn’s skilled hands-on adjustments will help you find your perfect alignment. Her style is light and approachable and she believes in the power of a good story as a tool for learning, so don’t be surprised when you hear an ancient story of the Gods and Goddesses of Hinduism or a modern tale from her adventures on and off of her mat.
She hopes her retreat attendees will leave her retreats with a feeling of aliveness, purpose/intention, and joy. Autumn encourages her students to be conscious creators… to have the courage to take risks (both big and small), the courage to listen deeply to their body, to their gut, to their heart, the grace to “roll with the punches” on this messy path we call life and to be willing to laugh at ourselves when we “fail”.
“It’s my heart's desire and calling to illuminate to you how courageous, strong, and beautiful you are. Anything is possible when you soften and open to all that you already are.” Toni Larson
spiritual mentor

This fall, imagine standing at the peak of a mountain, breathing in the crisp autumn air, feeling rooted in the wisdom of your heart and wildly free. Our Rooted and Wild Yoga and Hiking Retreat in North Carolina offers you the perfect escape from the daily grind, where you can reconnect with nature and rediscover your aliveness, your calm confidence, and your wild and wise heart.
This Women’s Yoga and Hiking Retreat is for You If:
You Want a Break From Daily Stress So You Can Recharge
In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, stressed, and disconnected from yourself and your loved ones. The demands of work, family, and societal obligations can leave you feeling drained and out of balance. Your nervous system feels fried or you’re just plain burnt out. Our Rooted and Wild Retreat is your chance to step away from it all, to recharge and rejuvenate your body, mind, and spirit. This is exactly the break you need to focus on your well-being.
You Are Craving Time in Nature and a Bit of Adventure
When life is busy, it’s easy to forget how amazing you can feel after just a few hours outside breathing fresh mountain air. At our creekside retreat time has a way of slowing down, stress slips away, and your nervous system is soothed by the sounds of the rushing creek and crisp clean air. Rejuvenate your spirit with local hikes, outdoor yoga and meditation, and replenishing dips in the cleansing waters of the creek. You won’t want to forget your favorite hiking shoes, swimsuit, and cozy layers!
You Value Community and Connection With Likeminded Women
Maybe you’ve already been on one of the 30+ women’s retreats I’ve led over the past 11 years or perhaps you’re new here, but I have got to say that I am consistently blown away by the incredible women that show up on these retreats. The fast friendships, the connection, the stories, the vulnerability, the support, the tears, the laughter and the healing that happens when you bring women together and create a welcoming space to show up just as they are is what continues to inspire me. You are welcome here. All of you. The messy, the wild, the divine, all of your beauty. We see you and you belong here just as you are. This is for you too.
You Want to Deepen Your Practice Both On and Off of Your Mat
You’re ready to deepen your practice and embody the gifts of a fulfilling yoga practice. You know and love that post-yoga feeling and you want more of it. Or perhaps you’ve fallen out of a regular practice or perhaps you’ve been leaving class with more questions than answers? You’ll have ample individual attention and plenty of time to embody, ask questions, and reflect. Your yoga practice has so much potential to serve your wellbeing both on and off of your mat.
You Know in Your Heart You Haven’t Been Putting Yourself First
If this resonates, I just want you to know that I see you. I’ve been right where you are. This is just a season and it’s about to change. You are capable of living a life that feeds your soul, you’re already on the path. From a lens of self love, you’ll be invited to let down your guard, your masks, your many responsibilities and step into your aliveness. It’s from this place of wholeness and self love that you are able to show up as the best version of yourself full of vibrant energy, abundant joy, and clarity about what’s ahead. I want this for you. I know you deserve it. Do you?
“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” Maya Angelou
