The Heart of Nonviolent Communication masterfully weaves together polyvagal theory, conflict resolution, nonviolent communication, yogic practices and Eastern wisdom. This is an innovative, experiential and holistic course in a new way of communicating and relating using somatic intelligence as the foundation for how we engage and interact with others.
Explore the deeper layers of communication- our body language, tone, intonation, rhythm, and what these cues reveal about the state of our nervous system and our state of consciousness. Dive deep into the skills of nonviolent communication and conflict resolution and lean into eastern wisdom practices to cleanse the psyche of subconscious patterns and cultivate clarity, discernment, insight and presence.
Practice empowered ways of speaking and relating that embody dignity, confidence, courage, and compassion. We will draw from the work of Thich Nhat Hahn (The Art of Communication), Acharya Shunya (Roar Like a Goddess), and Adrienne Maree Brown (Loving Corrections).
