From False Self to True Self: A Journey of Freedom

Details of this retreat
Over time, we develop protective patterns, assumptions, and masks that shape our sense of self. These form what Keating calls the False Self system, an ego-driven identity that can obscure our deepest truth. As we gradually loosen our attachment to this illusory persona, our authentic identity in God emerges with greater clarity, freedom, and peace.
Together, we will explore Fr. Thomas Keating's writings and teachings, discovering how they illuminate the path from the False Self to the True Self. Through reflection and discussion, participants will gain a deeper understanding of this spiritual paradigm and the freedom that comes from recognizing and living from their True Self.
This silent weekend retreat will include periods of Centering Prayer, personal reflection, and the celebration of the Eucharist.
