Details of this retreat

The spiritual tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola invites us to discover God not only in prayer, but also in our daily experiences, relationships, stories, and creative expression. In this retreat, participants will explore the Ignatian imagination as a sacred space for encounter, reflection, and discernment.

Through guided prayer experiences, reflective writing, creative exercises, moments of silence, and communal conversation, participants will be introduced to foundational principles of Ignatian spirituality. Drawing upon practices such as imaginative prayer, contemplation, and the Examen, we will learn how attention, curiosity, and creativity can deepen our awareness of God’s presence in the ordinary rhythms of life.

Together, we will explore how the wisdom of this centuries-old tradition can speak to the challenges, hopes, and questions of contemporary life, helping us become more attentive to the movements of the Spirit and more responsive to God’s invitation in our world.

Join us as we cultivate habits of prayer and prose that open new pathways for listening, discerning, creating, and encountering the Divine.

BioSpiritual Focusing Retreat 8/26
I received so many gifts of new knowledge and experiences from all 4 instructors and many participants. As always I enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces, especially the labyrinth. I truly appreciate the space that was freely available in the chapel, carriage house and friendship hall for myself and others to offer optional groups.
