About this Retreat

Details of this retreat

Soltara at Goddess Falls welcomes you into a space of panoramic wonder, sacred ceremony, and rooted transformation. Located in the Diamante Valley, a region celebrated for its bountiful wildlife, countless waterfalls, and lush rainforest environment. Poised on a ridge within a private nature sanctuary spanning over 200 acres, this location offers sweeping views of the stunning valley below.
Soltara at Goddess Falls offers the same trusted, heart-centered healing you’ve come to know - guided by our Shipibo healers, experienced facilitators, and an unwavering commitment to safety, support, and integrity. Rooted in the wisdom of the Peruvian Shipibo tradition and sacred plant medicine, we also integrate complementary healing practices - both traditional and modern - to support your journey of self-discovery. With decades of collective experience in ceremony and medicine work, our team holds a loving, expertly held space for deep transformation.
Our Commitment To You
We are called to serve medicine in sacred ceremony with integrity, humility, and compassion. By creating a safe space and working only with experienced, well-intentioned healers and facilitators, we uphold the lessons of the medicines and build a foundation of mutual trust, authenticity, and respect. We are not gurus, preachers, or enlightened beings – our healers are maestros who humbly transmit the knowledge and healing energies of the plants, and our facilitators are devoted to helping guests face, process, and explore difficult experiences and emotions, handle projections, manage expectations, and surrender to the process. We strive to uphold the highest integrity in everything we do and be a beacon for responsible, safe, and ethical practices, such that our guests feel safe and supported to get the most out of their healing. Meals

Menu Types

We believe healing even takes place in the kitchen. We take on the mantra by the Greek physician, Hippocrates: “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” We honor the role of food in our lives and expand it beyond its primary purpose of bodily nourishment – food can be an avenue to dig deeper into ourselves, consciously looking at our patterns and mindsets surrounding not just what we eat, but how and why we eat what we do. Our eating habits don’t just affect our mental health, they also reflect it. At Soltara, we aim to help you jumpstart this process of connection through conscious cooking on all levels. Diet is an important part of the healing process, both on its own and also to help prepare the mind and body for plant medicine work. We work closely with our shamans to prepare wholesome, delicious meals that adhere to the traditional dietary guidelines of working with ayahuasca. All of our meals are freshly prepared in-house by our loving kitchen staff. From fresh smoothies and juices every morning, to plant-based meals emphasizing local, organic, and sustainable produce, to lean proteins such a chicken and fish, we celebrate the rich local flavor of Costa Rican cuisine, and offer a chance to experience a connection to the land and culture while nourishing the body, mind, and spirit. Life changing experience 🙏❤️
While I just completed my 7 day retreat and still having impressions settling down, I’m trying to find the best words to describe how amazing this retreat and medicine are - and it isn’t an easy task.
First and foremost, Soltara space is inteligently designed to the very last details, where every step and corner is carefully thought out and cared for. Soltara fascilitators team consists of knowledgable and carrying individuals who devote months of their life to - helping others.
They approach their roles with seriousness and their support was crucial and much needed during this process. And main chef and her ladies in the kitchen - what a blessing was that! An unbelievable dedication of preparing daily organic local food with such care and love, with also entire support staff being incredible, kept us all nurished, safe and all spaces around us always clean.
When it comes to most amazing part - shamans, these incredible humans and the value of having an opportunity to be even exposed to such powerful and profound medicine and healers - it is nothing short of a miracle. But you have to leave your analitical mind behind ( which was my biggest challlenge despite all my good will,so it took few days). Follow the instructions and imerese yourself within each steps, one step at the time. And don’t be afraid even if it may seem unsetteling at times as any experience is meant to be for you - exactly the way your body and mind need it. Expect the unexpected - which at times can be fascinating and most beautiful feeling and at other times confusing and perhaps extremely uncomfortable , but all of those possible ups or downs are there for the same result- to help our physical healing of all the stressors we keep piling up in our bodies and carry through our lives without even realizing we do and to give our bodies and minds a way to come back to our authentic selves where you’ll be free to continue being the better version of yourself, or become the one you were always meant to be. Overall, the most profound experience I had in my life. Entirely unexpected course of events.
When booking this trip I thought of finding some clues for next steps in my life, experiencing amazing visions and revelations, but my body and soul needed something entirely different this first time facing with the medicine, a road bit harder than I expected, but I’m immensely grateful for it and wouldn’t change a single thing as it is exactly what I needed 🙏.
If you are considering healing retreat of this kind- this IS the place to go to. But know that the real work also starts afterwards and it may take weeks and months after the resort. Differently called an integration period - which I just entered and learning and adjusting each day. Another very valuable aspect is the community that got formed during this retreat - experiences that bonded complete strangers of all walks of life from all around the World and our fascilitators - having us feel entirely at home, away from home. That is something that had such great value on its own and is simply - pure and beautiful. Also, being immersed in the nature (the very innate feeling of our existence) - beyond incredible. Butterflies and birds flying around you, sounds of a jungle, rain, sea waves, monkeys, insects (and yes they do bite, so bring enough spray against moscitos and bugs;)- all that brought an extra help and hightened this experience to the needed level.
My humble advice- if you have a calling to explore this kind of healing or you feel your mind and body need to get “unstuck” somewhere and you don’t know how to get there on your own - book this trip.
You won’t regret it. But allow proper time for it and priortize it. Listen to all advices of the team and follow ALL the steps before and after- there is a reason for it:).
I do hope I will make my way back one day soon. Eternally grateful to the entire Soltara team. Read More

What a beautiful curated and profound experience.
The Maestro/Maestra were amazing, their icaro was PROFOUND. You can tell by their presence and song that they are of a very experienced, powerful lineage. I felt their healing to my core.
Soltara thought of everything in my/our experience. The facilitators were compassionate and thoughtful. Each day they prepared you for what to expect, took the time to an answer your questions to ensure you felt ready for your experience. I felt seen and cared for. The food and lodging were excellent, like you were at a posh resort but with a very calming, grounding environment. The food was wholesome and expertly prepared with intention. Soltara created an environment that felt safe, connected and supported. I would/have recommend Soltara to anyone who is interested in looking inward on the most important journey of their life.
