About this Retreat
Heather is an author, executive coach, horse-guided growth practitioner, and facilitator with a gift for assisting individuals through deep transformation.
Heather Hanson Wickman, Ph.D., successfully climbed the corporate healthcare ladder before charting a new path to support senior leaders in evolving their leadership and building high-performance teams and organizations. She specializes in mastering change, developing high-performing teams and fostering critical interpersonal skills, through which she has coached leaders on evolved business practices, navigating deep change, fostering self-awareness and finding personal and professional fulfillment.
She has a deep passion for working with horses. Her childhood horse, Zepher Blue, touched her life in deep and profound ways. Through her work with Plant Medicine, she found the courage to rekindle this passion and bring the work of Horse Medicine to people all over the world.
Heather trained for two years in a formal equine-facilitated coaching apprenticeship program as well as sought additional teaching through several other teachers and mentors. However, the horses are the ultimate teachers in this world and she has been taught well to listen deeply to their guidance.
Colby (aka the "wild cowboy") is a serial entrepreneur and practitioner of speaking the truth with a dash of love. He has a special gift of direct and honest reflection and feedback to support the highest and best for anyone he is working with.
As a young boy, Colby spent endless hours in the back arroyos of Northern New Mexico, often on horseback. While he didn't have the opportunity to have his own, he experienced the magic of the horse- human connection from a very early age and is delighted to bring this opportunity to others looking to deepen their self-awareness and ability to navigate big change.
Colby has over 25 years of leadership experience in Fortune 500 companies, global conglomerates and franchise organizations such as Airgas, Heartland Energy and Trend Group, specializing in change management, business strategy development, marketing and sales leadership.
