4 nights 5 days - CHILDREN of the SUN Shamanic Retreat - Huachuma (San Pedro) + Mushrooms - Portugal

This is an invitation for the reclamation of the inner child.
We were all once a child, and still have one alive inside, divine and often also traumatized.
Most of us were not "just free to be ourselves" in childhood, as modern societies and often our own biological families taught us to repress and sacrifice this child, who is pure source connection.
This disconnect within is one of the main sources of suffering and confusion.

Inner child healing and its importance is quite often misunderstood and most people would rather just get on with their lives. The catch is that until this inner and essential part of us is recognized and reclaimed, it seems that, just like a crying child, something deep within keeps asking to be attended to.
When we do not listen to this inner call, the result is usually a sense of numbness, however outwardly successful our lives appear.

When we choose to dive deep and reconnect to this very real inner child, life can turn into a path of discovery and liberation. It opens up a new way of being.
It is not about being childish and rejecting responsibilities, it is meeting again the light of your heart.
It is calling back with intention all the parts of who you are, and learning to embrace the pain and the light.
Calling all parts of ourselves home is what can manifest as a felt sense of wholeness on the inside.

Following the inner child passes through darkness and pain, transforming and healing old psychic and emotional pathways, with hope of leading into loving re-union between the parent and the child that we are.
For all healing and creative endeavors, the re-union of parent and child is necessary, as it is the child who recognizes the spark within.
We can come into wholeness and a healthy in-dependence and inter-dependence with ourselves and others, as we learn to contain, embrace and care for our child.

The retreat is 4 nights & 5 days into the sacred space of our hearts, closely supported by an experienced male and female shaman therapist couple, in an intimate family environment.
The group is limited to six participants, carefully screened, and designed to bring you full circle.

In south Portugal, in a quiet and private space surrounded by nature, ceremonies are held in a tipi and communal lodging is in a bell tent (or you can bring your own tent), and meals are taken in the family kitchen. There is plenty of space to be together and to be in solitude. There is personal talks and integration throughout the retreat in addition to the sharing circles.

We will explore the inner dialogue between the different aspects of us, and find the compassion, forgiveness to love ,as we heal the inner family crystal.
To open our heart, body and mind, we will use different modalities such as movement, breath, sound, shamanic work together with natural plant medicine.

We will have 2 Huachuma ceremonies & 1 Golden Teachers Mushrooms ceremony.

GOLDEN TEACHERS:
This sacred medicine has been used for thousands of years in many cultures around the world.
Mushrooms are extremely potent medicine. They take us to the depths of the emotional world, swimming in the inner ocean of feeling and expression while experiencing a childlike wonder. They offer a perspective that allows us to laugh at ourselves and our pain and to see things in a larger context. This enables bridging places of duality so that we can find unity within, between the different parts of us and can make sense of our lifes journey.

Also known as “Los Ninos” (the children), because they can rebirth the divine child. The rebirth of this joyous space within contributes to the release of the traumatic and painful child that we were. (even if our deepest traumas were experienced in adulthood) Mushrooms have the ability to radically spark our creativity, expression and communication patterns, realizing a kind of quickening effect on the entire system, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and beyond.. It is medicine that teaches how to contain and expand our psychic container and to make sense and meaning from all the different parts of ourselves and our complicated lives.
The result of this leads to also corresponding physical and energetic healing and release in our bodies and minds.


HUACHUMA:
Huachuma is the native name of the San-Pedro cactus. This master plant has been consumed more than 5,000 years ago as a central part of the religious worship in the Chavin culture of the Andes. Huachuma is heart oriented medicine, as he takes us directly into our heart's truth, while awakening our consciousness to a clean and unified perspective.
The first Europeans that met this medicine gave the christian name 'San Pedro' – meaning the one that holds the keys to heaven.
By helping us to discover our deepest truths, Huachuma helps us to transcend the obstacles of the ego-mind, realizing the keys to our divine human vehicle, bringing us step by step to mastery. Huachuma is a master plant teacher, the grandfather energy of the divine masculine.

It seems almost impossible to express in words what is happening beyond what can be said. The encounter with Adya and Param came about by coincidence. Or something we call coincidence on an external level. In fact, already the first encounter felt like a reunion. Familiarity from the very first second. At no time in our conversations that followed did I feel persuaded or coerced into anything, but I always felt invited, accepted and noticed.
The ceremonies I have witnessed so far have been performed with great devotion. I felt safe and comfortable at all times. I was particularly impressed by the precious conversations that followed.

Three weeks ago, I returned from my first retreat with Param and Adya, and I can happily say that I feel much better than before the trip. I have been in therapeutic treatment for over a year due to anxiety disorder. Working as a self-employed artist is challenging, and I had a traumatizing childhood because my parents couldn't show me love, and I was subjected to stress and violence from birth. This led to a feeling of being at the mercy of life, causing my nervous system to be in survival mode from birth, which haunted me throughout my life until the retreat.
Today, I sleep much more peacefully and have more trust in myself and the world, and I feel deep gratitude for life. It is much easier for me to be present and actively participate in life.
Living with this family for a week was a very healing experience. For the first time, I slept in a tipi in nature, and it was an absolute safe space and a grounding experience. The connection with nature and the distance from the hectic everyday life and social media were already very soothing on their own. I participated in four ceremonies and, to be honest, was scared beforehand because it is hard for me to relinquish control. Param and Adya were always there for me with all their love, calm, patience, and understanding, allowing me to relax and surrender to the process. In the ceremonies, I encountered life itself and myself on such a deep level that I realized I was killing myself day by day with certain dysfunctional, driven thoughts and behaviors, and internally, I was closer to death than to life. At 28, I experienced for the first time what life feels like, and the stress that had accompanied me for so long fell away from me in an instant.
During the Bufo ceremony, I connected with my body and breath on such a deep level that I now strengthen this feeling of aliveness day by day and remember that moment with a smile and a sense of trust and hope.
