About this Retreat
Curtis is the Co-Founder of Inward Travel and passionate about Plant Medicine and the positive impacts they can have on individuals and the world as a whole.
Curtis had his first big psychedelic experience more than 25 years ago at the age of 18 with psilocybin mushrooms. That one night opened his perception to something greater than he had understood to that point in his life, and he gained a clarity which encouraged him to follow his dreams, rather than settling for job simply to earn a salary.
Curtis took the inspiration from mushrooms and founded a travel company called Free & Easy Traveler, which went on to take thousands of people/year to more than 20 countries around the world.
Psilocybin mushrooms continued to be a medicine and teacher throughout Curtis' adult life and in 2015, he had the chance to sit with Ayahuasca. This would be the start of a new chapter in Curtis' journey,, where he felt a calling to be of greater service in helping humanity to connect more deeply with nature and mother earth.
Travel had always provided epic life changing moments, but Plant Medicine opened our minds beyond the programming of our society in which we've grown up and to see deeper truths about ourselves and about nature. With these truths, Curtis believes that humanity is capable of creating a more beautiful world that our hearts know is possible, and thus was the birth of Inward Travel.
Curtis has been a part of leading more than 200 groups and brings that experience to creating a beautiful trip experience for our groups. He is passionate about each individual's growth and healing and is committed to providing an incredible experience for all.
As with Free & Easy Traveler in the early days, Curtis is currently participating on every Inward Travel journey.
Yoga Teacher, Breathwork Facilitator, Plant Medicine Integration Guide and Registered Nurse in Psychedelic Therapy ~ Brittany weaves Science and Spirit with Traditional Plant Medicines through Ritual and Ceremony.
Brittany has studied around the World in alternative health & healing modalities alongside Master Plant Teachers in Traditional Indigenous Ceremony and Sacred Rituals. Brittany uses a Somatic, Trauma Informed lens and guides others in Coming Home to the deeper layers within Self. She has been working with Master Plant Medicines for over 10 years and has a deep passion for supporting others in their Journey with the Plants.
Brittany believes in the innate wisdom and deep knowing that lives within every human being. With the support of the Plants, guided by breath and body awareness, this inner wisdom is gently remembered - A Return Home to Self as the Healer.
Cheyenne is a highly experienced and compassionate guide, specializing in transformative experiences and healing. With a decade of skillful leadership, she has guided diverse groups through profound journeys in travel and various healing modalities, leaving a lasting impact on all she encounters.
Her approach is characterized by deep listening and wise guidance, facilitating transformative healing experiences for her clients and groups. Through her innovative thinking and embodiment practices, she empowers people to discover their true selves. With a distinctive blend of psychosomatic therapy, clinical aromatherapy, energy healing, yoga, and meditation, she nurtures holistic development.
She believes that we are all our best healers, we have everything we need inside of us and our unique expression is the greatest thing we can contribute to this world. There was little awareness of psilocybin mushrooms in the United States, until 1956 when a journalist wrote about Maria Sabina and her work with mushrooms in Time magazine. This article introduced the world to Mazatec mushroom ceremonies and sparking global interest in psychedelic exploration and plant medicine traditions.

7:00 - 8:00am: Morning Meditation, Journalling, Read - Begin the day in your own process, connecting with the surrounding nature. This is a beautiful time to reflect on your intentions and on your ceremonies from the nights before.
8:00 - 9:15am: Yoga session
9:30am: Breakfast - Gather with your group to enjoy a nutritious spread of locally sourced food and herbal teas to nourish the body.
10:30 am: Integration Workshop - Gather with our group to reflect on the previous night's ceremony (or the ceremony to come), sharing experiences and insights with the group, and receiving feedback and wisdom from others.
12:00pm: Optional activities such as forest walk, visit Maria Sabina's house/museum, temazcal, or visit Huautla de Jimenez town.
1:30 pm: Lunch - A wholesome meal prepared with fresh, local ingredients, adhering to the recommended dieta.
2:00 pm: Free Time or Optional Activities - Relax at our lodge, journal. Visit the waterfall on one of the days.
4:00 pm: Breathwork- A ritual that prepares participants for the evening's ceremony. (on one of the days)
6:30 pm: On days of ceremony, we do not eat dinner before ceremony. On days off, we have a delicious and nutritional meal.
7:30 pm: Mushroom Ceremony - Guided by skilled shamans, embark on a transformative journey with the sacred plant medicine.
12:00 am (or upon ceremony's conclusion): Rest & Reflection - Return to the lodge for rest, introspection, and integration of the night's experiences.
