- Guided support throughout the experience (your facilitator has been a part of more than 120 journeys in group and individual settings)
- Cordless headphones with a curated playlist and eyeshades that you can take off if you feel like it
- Vegetarian/vegan meal after session and breakfast the following morning, seasonal, wholesome, homegrown/local Spanish vegetables and fruit when possible
- Post-session integration video call to make sure you are integrating the experience well
- Optional therapists on the team can help you guide you onwards in the weeks or months after your session (at their regular rates)

About this Retreat
Your Guides
Founder of A New Day Retreats.
After experiencing the deep transformation from my first psilocybin journey in a therapeutic setting, I have made it my goal to create A New Day Retreats. This has meant continuing my own personal journey with psychoactive plants, both on retreats and personally. I have also completed several courses with different providers on the safe use of plant medicines (see below for details). I have been working with a local retreat centre helping to guide retreats and one day group sessions for even more hands on experience so I can provide a safe space for healing and growth.
I hold a Masters of Arts in Anthropology and a Diploma in Counselling. I am a trained massage therapist.
I hold the following certificates: "Understanding Psilocybin Effects Neurobiology and Therapeutic Approaches", "Psychedelic Counseling - The Foundations of Trip Sitting", "Internal Family Systems and Psychedelic Therapy" , and I am working towards a certificate in "Healing Trauma" by Peter A. Levine, PhD, as well as "The Transpersonal and Psychedelic Practitioner Certification" which includes 3 in-person facilitator's training sessions in the Netherlands, to be completed early 2024.
I was born and grew up in Denmark and I have been fortunate to have lived in many countries throughout my adult life, and now I call Spain my home. I speak English, Danish, French and Spanish.
A personal aim for me is to master the combination of being both soft and strong, qualities I believe are important to lead a meaningful and impactful life. I yearn for a shift in our communities and societies that will curb our current epidemic of depression, anxiety and other mental disorders, and with A New Day Retreats I hope to make a small difference to individual lives, so that people can commence and continue their own healing and growing and go back to their families and communities and make a difference in their individual ways. Systemic change begins with individuals, and to me it seems pretty obvious that we need a change of direction. And I believe deeply that plant medicine can help guide us all.

A 2 day 1-on-1 session looks like this:
Choose any 2 available days on the calendar.
Both of you go through a screening by filling out an online form. Once approved, you will be able to book your session on RetreatGuru.
Phone / video call in the days prior to the session for questions, to set an intention and familiarise ourselves with one another.
You will be picked up at Alicante airport. (You can come a day early or leave a day after at an extra fee (highly recommended) to make the most of your experience. Timings are recommendations rather than totally fixed. If you need to arrive later, that is also possible).
13.00: Preparation, intention setting,
13.30: Meditation and breathwork as the session begins. You will wear comfortable, cordless headphones and a blindfold to facilitate your journey. You will be in individual rooms with a guide each to facilitate your journeys.
18.00-19.00: Post session talk / integration.
19:00 and evening: relax, have your delicious homecooked dinner, warm yourself at the fireplace or use the outdoor space/pool etc. depending on the season and what you prefer.
The following morning: You will be dropped off where you were picked up. Breakfast is included. Take your time, enjoy the Spanish climate, the pool, the fireplace, depending on the season.

Accommodation
The retreat is an charming Spanish finca that has been fully renovated recently. There is 1 double, en-suite bedroom and 2 shared twin rooms. The retreat centre has a total of 3 bathrooms and an outdoor shower. When you book an overnight stay you have the whole house / premises to yourselves like an AirBnb. The living room and kitchen area is comfortable and you are free to use the space as you wish while at the retreat.

Set in rural Spain between the beautiful mountain ranges of Sierra de Bernia and Sierra de Aitana, home to around 50 avocado trees.
We're working on the space for group retreats, but the space for 1-to-1 and darkness retreats is ready. The premises have been fully renovated for your comfort, and we aim to provide a relaxing, safe space where you can fully let go, relax and make the most of your experience.
Bikes are available to borrow if you wish to ride the 1.5 km to the charming Polop.
