  • THE COURSE CONTENT
  • 1. PATANJALI, Sutras: FORCES OF RESISTANCE TO HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS
  • The course will begin by going into the details of various forces of resistance that work to keep us at a normal level of consciousness. We will look at some of the primary obstacles that Patanjali considers worthy of understanding. These forces of resistance are there for good reasons, and need to be understood in detail for us to be able to lift the veils of illusion which they normally hold in place. So, we will look at the things that stand in our way as obstacles first, and subsequently consider the methods by which we can overcome them. As well, we will look at the main Grunthies and assess what progress we have made with them.
  • 2. THE SUBTLE FORCES OF DELUSION
  • We will then go into a greater depth of the subtle forces of delusion that come up as we begin to unfold each of the chakras. Perhaps it is not such a matter of them coming up but rather of us going down into the subconscious realms to explore the roots and origin of illusion and delusion. The distractive powers of the Dakinis can lead us away from our spiritual goals for lifetimes; when we look at how they do it we will perhaps gain liberation from their web.
  • 3. THE ENERGY OF THE CHAKRAS
  • We will consider the fundamental characteristics of the energy of each chakra, how they are symbolically represented, and how we can recognize these within ourselves. It is important to be able to see and understand how things are unfolding in order to assess our progress along the spiritual path. To this we add technique for working directly with these energies so as to better utilize them on our spiritual journey.
  • 4. CONTEMPLATION & CALMING THE MIND
  • We go into a deeper level of the meditational state, where the oneness of the blissful universe can become our home ground. We will look into our roots as a Western culture and bridge some gaps that have long lay between us and Eastern cultures. We will also look at some of the subsequent conflicts that arise in the mind because of them. We will look more deeply into the realm of Guru Hardiya Manas. This will require some contemplation and effort. Through our practice we will come to understanding the energies involved. From this place, with a mind that has been calmed, we will also be able to elaborate on the healing forces that can emanate through this bliss when teamed up with compassion.
  • 5. THE BLOSSOMING LOTUS: DEVINE FORCES OF THE CHAKRAS
  • We then consider the divine forces that can be manifested at each chakra level, look at the qualities, skills and talents that unfold as we awaken this energy within us. Techniques to help this process unfold will be explained and practiced as we go along so that we have clear methods of development to work with. This chapter will lead us out into the Akashic records – that ocean of energy that contains the knowledge of the universe. We will explore how to access it, know it, and trust the intuitive process that opens the door to this realm. We will be learning some advanced tantric technique for bringing some of Kundalini’s energy up to the various chakra levels to help the lotuses blossom.
  • 6. YANTRA: THE MIND AND IT'S SYMBOLS
  • Leads us into the mind and its symbols: Yantra and its explanation of the basic mathematical and geometric language of the collective unconscious. In learning to understand more of this universal language all of the mystic symbols that have come down through the ages might take on new meaning. A deeper look at the Karmic and Dharmic cycles brings us further into space-time.
  • 7. THE NATURE OF CONSCIOUSNESS
  • Takes us into the nature of consciousness as a universal awareness phenomenon and its vibrational aspect in manifestation. Sound and mantra will be discussed and used as methods of directing that of which we are consciously aware. Journeys in the Quantum Sound Chair facilitate this experience.

YOGA BEYOND THE ASANA
towards higher consciousness

What begins with a teacher’s training during the first month progresses into a higher form of training in mind and consciousness; it is more challenging than successfully doing asanas but results in an amazing state of mind with a formidable expansion of consciousness. This is literally yoga beyond the asanas, without disregarding the foundation of the physical postures. There is just so much more. This training contains the usual postures, (108 minimum). They are taught with pranayama techniques and explanations of physiological benefits. The how and why of our physical body functions leads to a much greater understanding and the empowerment of our human nature, and its potential as a healthy happy being.

There are two levels to this course, the first part is a very detailed Teacher Training with an intricate explanation of body functions, physiology, anatomy, how to tune everything up at the level of our physical existence. This is the first month, during which there are detox techniques taught and practices for the physical body, as well as an in-depth psychological detox in preparation for the second month. In the second month the training moves into the self-mastery techniques that have been the core of yoga for thousands of years: mastering your mind allows you to turn it off, stop thinking and re-center in peaceful consciousness anytime. From there the journey into the chakras begins in an amazing development of human potential.

This course you will learn the methods and techniques required to gain access to body and mind functions; giving you abilities to balance body chemistry – creating health – and mentally gain the ability to turn off the mind when you are not using it. In this way health and peace of mind are established, and can be maintained for (Ever) undetermined periods of time.

TOWARDS HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS
MASTER YOUR OWN MIND
David will be guiding dedicated yogis through an advanced Chakra Yoga course in the month of February 2024. The course will expand on the techniques learned in the level 1 teacher training course. Any student who has completed the level 1 Chakra Yoga Teacher training with David Goulet can join. This course is not a teacher training but for yogis wishing to deepen their own practice and learn more from David.

Students who have finished the teachers training with David
The dedicated yogi wishing to gain a deeper understanding of the energy world and their internal systems.
Anyone who has done a lot of healing work and is ready for ascension.

THE TRAINING LOOKS LIKE THIS :
For 4 weeks you stay at Pyramid Yoga Centre in Koh Phangan, Thailand.
The day will start with yoga and breath work. In the afternoon we will host workshops on the course program.
In all the modules lectures on the theory are combined with the practice; yoga, meditation and Breathwork.

*The applicant should understand basic English as the teacher training course is conducted in English language
*Prior experience or knowledge of yoga is necessarily required.
*The applicant should be in good physical condition. The training is a very demanding program with at least 6 to 8 hours daily
*100% attendance at all classes is mandatory. Participants must follow the timetable and attend all sessions and activities

Directions

Flight to Samui Airport (USM)
From Bangkok to Koh Samui, there are 3 flights per day run by Bangkok Airways. Flying time is about 90 minutes. Once you arrive at Koh Samui, you will need to take a ferry to Koh Phangan, for about 350 THB one way
On Koh Phangan, taxis are available at the pier. Please inform the driver to take you to Pyramid Yoga Center in Haad Salad. Taxis are approximately 200-300 THB per person.

Flight to Surat Thani Airport (URT)
From Bangkok at Don Muang Aioport (DMK(), you can also fly to Surat Thani Airport (URT) by Air Asia, Thai Lion Air, and Nok Air. The flying time is about 80 minutes.
The transfer from Surat Thani Airport (URT) to Donsak Ferry Port is by coach or taxi and it takes about 90 minutes. Tickets is 560 THB per person ,can be bought at the airport. It will take 3 hours, aboard the Seatran Ferry.

Whilst the overall journey is longer than flying directly to Koh Samui, it can be cheaper to fly via Surat Thani, depending on the time of year. Once you arrive at Koh Phangan, taxis are available at the pier. Please inform the driver to take you to Pyramid Yoga Center in Haad Salad. Shared Taxis are approximately 200 THB per person.

Arrival by Train
Trains leave Bangkok several times daily, and the journey takes about 12 hours. Sleeping booths are available for some services.

Leaving the train at Surat Thani train station, the transfer by coach or taxi to Donsak pier takes about one hour. From Donsak, the ferry journey takes three hours to Koh Phangan.

Arrival by Coach
Lomprayah Ferry run a coach services from Bangkok to Koh Phangan, which takes about 10 hours. For further information, please contact Lomprayah Ferry.
