From reflective exercises to inspiring outdoor activities, each day is designed to facilitate personal growth and rejuvenation. Whether you're craving moments of quiet introspection or seeking connections with like-minded women, the Hoonah Matata Retreat provides a supportive space surrounded by the Amazing Alaskan frontier.
Each day will begin with meditation, sound healing and a coaching session by Kathy Headlee. Three farm to table meals will be provided daily. Meals will be provided by Alaska Bush Chef, Mark Browning. Such dishes will be made from garden grown greens, fresh salmon, halibut and dungeness crab.
Activities will include a day on the water whale watching, a boat ride to a secluded bay to observe local wildlife, a gondola ride up the mountain, a Tlingit dance show and totem carving demonstration, a fire cooked meal in a secluded bay and a trip to the cruise port for souvenir shopping. Sound baths and forest baths will also be provided.
The retreat is located in the newly renovated Hoonah Matata Lodge where you will have comfortable, warm surroundings with a cabin feel and a view of mountains and water to enjoy from the large outside porch.
This retreat is all inclusive with transportation, meals and activities from the time you set foot in Hoonah. It is a once in a lifetime chance to feel the energy and see the natural beauty that is Alaska.
