Florencia Ferrari is a highly skilled and compassionate psychologist with over 10 years of experience in psychotherapy. As the co-director of Takinuna Healing Centre, she brings a unique blend of academic training and spiritual insight to every retreat.
Holding a Master’s degree in Art Psychotherapy from Roehampton University in London, Florencia specializes in creative, trauma-informed, and holistic approaches to healing. Her work bridges the depth of Western psychology with the ancestral traditions of plant medicine, creating a profoundly integrative healing space.
Currently immersed in shamanic training under the guidance of her partner César Vásquez, she is deepening her ability to support each person’s transformation on emotional, spiritual, and energetic levels. She leads group integration sessions after ceremonies, drawing on art therapy and embodied practices to help participants process their experiences and ground them meaningfully.
With a deep understanding of emotional depth and inner transformation, Florencia holds space with presence, empathy, and care—meeting each individual with unconditional support, authenticity, and trust. Her presence is a guiding light on the journey of self-discovery, healing, and reconnection with one’s true nature.
With over 58 years devoted to traditional Amazonian medicine, Don Israel is a highly respected Ayahuasquero Healing Shaman. Born into the Kokama indigenous community, he immersed himself in the sacred traditions of the Amazon from an early age.
Throughout his extensive career, Don Israel has cultivated a transformative space for those seeking healing and self-discovery. His profound connection to plant medicine and decades of experience enable him to guide participants toward inner peace, personal growth, and spiritual awakening.
Now, due to his age, Don Israel serves as an external consultant, sharing his invaluable wisdom and offering guidance to ensure the continuation of his legacy. His approach, deeply rooted in ancient traditions and enriched by a lifetime of practice, resonates deeply with those who seek the profound healing potential of Amazonian plant medicine under the guidance of a true master.
Details of this retreat
This immersive retreat offers a powerful opportunity to explore the sacred synergy between Ayahuasca and Huachuma (San Pedro)—two master plants that guide you through deep healing, clarity, and spiritual awakening. Ideal for those seeking inner transformation and connection to nature, this 7-day experience is grounded in traditional Amazonian wisdom and enhanced by professional psychotherapeutic support.
You will participate in two nighttime Ayahuasca ceremonies led by experienced native shamans, where deep emotional and spiritual cleansing takes place. Complementing this journey, you will also take part in two daytime Huachuma ceremonies, which open the heart, awaken consciousness, and facilitate connection with the Earth and others in a grounded, expansive way.
Our unique approach includes integration sessions after the ceremonies with a professional psychotherapist trained in art and depth psychotherapy, offering a safe space to explore your experiences and support long-term healing. You will also receive plant treatments, consultation with the shamans, rest in peaceful natural surroundings, and be supported throughout by a compassionate, multidisciplinary team.
This journey offers a rare and transformative path into the heart of plant medicine healing—guided by tradition, protected by spirit, and integrated with integrative psychoterapeutic support.
