3-Day Mettā
Meditation Retreat
Led by Tom Ledermann
Mettā meditation provides a powerful method for cultivating compassion, gratitude, and genuine happiness. These qualities foster mental well-being, inner contentment, and happy relationships with others.
In this three-day retreat, we will deepen our Mettā practice through 30-minute guided sitting meditations, complemented by mindful yoga, walking meditation, mindful work, and prostrations. There will also be two Dharma talks.
This is a commuting retreat only. No lodging will be available on-site; participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodations if needed.
About the Teacher
Tom Ledermann is a longtime mindfulness and compassion practitioner and a psychologist by training who works at Florida State University. Tom has been practicing at the Tallahassee Chan Center since August 2017, took refuge and precepts in 2018, and has practiced in multiple traditions prior to coming to Chan.
