Being in the physical presence of cetaceans is a gift; it can have an amazing catalyzing effect on our healing and awakening process. Swimming with them is an experience that leaves you forever changed... Having been subjected to less imposition than we have, they have retained very strong multidimensional abilities.

So, of all places where you could go experience such an encounter... why Madeira? Well, as a Portuguese territory, the island of Madeira is the only place in the EU where we are legally allowed to swim with dolphins in the wild. That permission doesn't extend to whales, but it is possible to get quite close to them with boats, if their behaviour shows they welcome such proximity.

The island, that some call the Flower Island (also known as the Island of Eternal Spring, or the Pearl of the Atlantic), is the emerged top of a gigantic underwater volcano (6 km/20,000 ft high, no less!), part of a whole mountain chain. It is well known for its healing energy; European royalty and wealthy classes used to go there on stays in the 18th and 19th century in order to restore their health. The
entire island is, in fact, a massive power spot!
