Details of this retreat

A weekend of music, mysticism, and the poetry of Rumi.
Join master musician Amir Vahab for a weekend of Sufi music and the spiritual poetry of Rumi. Amir has devoted his life to preserving and sharing the Sufi musical tradition, and his performances weave traditional Sufi melodies with contemporary influences. For the Sufis, we are all one with the Divine, and music is the language of that communion. Over the weekend you'll feel how devotional music gently draws the mind and heart into the present moment.
Rumi (Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī) was a 13th-century Persian poet, jurist, theologian, and Sufi mystic. His ecstatic, devotional poetry of love and the soul's longing for union with the Divine has carried across centuries and cultures.
What You'll Experience
The weekend includes:

Live Sufi music — sessions with Amir that join traditional melodies with contemporary sound
The poetry of Rumi — verses of love and devotion, brought to life in song
Sufi philosophy — the teachings behind the music and what they say about the heart's relationship with the Divine
Sacred sound and devotion — how music becomes a practice of prayer and presence
Spiritual community — time to connect with others drawn to the path of the heart
Daily Integral Yoga Hatha — the ashram's classes, open to all program participants
