About this Retreat
Ram Joshi is a musician and teacher born in a small village in the sacred mountains of Rishikesh, India. From a young age, he was surrounded by the chants of the Ganges and the vibrant energy of the Himalayas. His path has been deeply connected to Indian classical music as a means of spiritual realization.
Trained in the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara lineage (a direct, devotional transmission between master and disciple), Ram has lived in various gurukulams — traditional residential schools — dedicating years to the rigorous and devoted study of Nada Yoga, rāgas, and sacred singing.
As a specialist in voice and rāgas, Ram’s teaching goes beyond technique. He guides his students to open their hearts and listen from the soul. His approach is simple, humble, and profound: singing with him is a transformative experience, where the voice becomes medicine, prayer, and a remembrance of the essential.
In this retreat, he will hold the space for studying and practicing sacred sound, devotional singing, mantras, and Indian philosophy. His presence is a true gift: living wisdom, inner peace, and genuine devotion.
Facilitator & Coordinator
Carmen is a dedicated facilitator and coordinator passionate about creating spaces of deep connection and transformation. With a background in yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and the arts, she brings a holistic approach that blends movement, devotion, and creativity. Carmen’s love for nature and soulful practices inspires participants to open their hearts and experience authentic spiritual growth. Her intention is to support each person’s journey with warmth, presence, and simplicity.

Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), New Delhi – This is the main international gateway into India. Most participants will arrive here.
Domestic Connection:
From Delhi, you can take a domestic flight to Dehradun Airport (DED), also known as Jolly Grant Airport – the closest airport to Rishikesh (about 40 minutes away by taxi).
From Dehradun Airport to Rishikesh:
We can help you arrange a private taxi or shared transfer to Akshi Yogashala in Rishikesh. It’s a scenic drive through the Himalayan foothills.
Alternative Option – By Train or Taxi from Delhi:
You can also take a train from Delhi to Haridwar (1 hour from Rishikesh) and then a taxi. Or you can book a direct taxi from Delhi to Rishikesh (approx. 6–7 hours).
