Miguel
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
For the past decade, Miguel has immersed himself in the interconnected worlds of Ayurveda, naturopathy, raw food, nature healing, shamanism, tantra, and yoga. He believes in the power of nature and the body to heal and revitalize, and he passionately shares this knowledge with others. In 2014 he met Irene Grosjean, the late beacon of French Naturopathy, who quickly became his friend and mentor. Miguel's dedication to holistic wellness stems from a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.
Before he pursued studies as protein biochemist with a doctorate in molecular medicine, specializing in regenerative biology and neuro-oncology, Miguel Barthéléry received his scientific and medical training in the USA at the Florida Institute of Technology (Melbourne, FL) and Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine (Hershey, MA), before specializing in brain cancer at Harvard Medical School's Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Boston, MA).
From the outset, having preferred pharmaceutical research to clinical practice, Dr. Barthéléry dedicated his entire career to it, eager to understand the causes of disease in order to better contain it, rather than treat it with medications whose real effectiveness he doubted. Thanks to his training as a biochemist, his interest in nutrition and metabolism, as well as his tireless research on the behavior of cancer stem cells, naturally led him to believe that the causes of disease depend primarily, if not exclusively, on diet.
The writings of Dr. T. Colin Campbell and Dr. Max Gerson reinforced his intuition.
The plant-based foods he had already preferred in his youth, the experience of the benefits of vegetable juices, and the discovery, upon his return to France, of essential oils thanks to Dr. Aude Maillard, naturally led him to meet Doctors Irène, Nelly, and Sylvie Grosjean. He abandoned research, of course.
From researcher, he became seeker. For him, the research had run its course, and the adventure truly began when he tasted the treasures and virtues of living food.
