Fatua

About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Fatua has been walking the medicine path for many years as a stewardess between heaven and earth.

After studying art at the University of Colorado, Fatua spent years studying various styles of yoga and began teaching. Yoga was the gateway to her path of expansion, and it led her to move to the island of Kauai to study massage therapy at the Pacific Center for Awareness and Bodywork. Her years living on island brought her to explore Hawaiian lomi lomi massage, reiki, and harvesting plants to make herbal medicines at a local herb farm.

Intrigued by the healing power of plants, she followed her heart to Peru to explore the medicinal plants of the Andes and Amazon rainforest. Peru opened the doorway to her current holistic practice, which includes energy medicine from the lineage of the Qero’ people of the high Andes mountains, serving akate’, more commonly known as “kambo” frog medicine, and facilitating cacao ceremonies. She annually makes trips down to Peru to continue studying and working with plant medicine and immersing in the practice of traditional plant dietas, which offer her more insight into the world of plants and energy and assist her in connecting with the songs of nature.

Her studies include:

The Four Winds Light Body School with Alberto Villoldo, a shamanic energy medicine training intensive involving energetic medicine practices from Peru

Sonic Love Alchemy and Sophology with Amma Sophia Rose, learning the art of sacred sound healing and ancient womb mysteries

African drumming and ancestral connection with Chris Berry

Kambo frog medicine in the states with Boa Cowee, how to treat specific case clients with Caitlin Thompson, immersive study in the Peruvian Amazon with her teacher Johnny Java, who is of the lineages Kichwa and Matses in Peru, and also visiting and partaking in medicine with the Ibama (a new branch of the Matses tribe) in the jungle.

Ongoing explorations of shamanic plant ethnobotany in the Amazon rainforest with various medicine men and women

Fatua is also the creatrix of Soul Melody Cacao, importing organic cacao grown by a Jane’, an Ashaninka woman she connected with while in the Amazon rainforest. She continues to support her farm and the people of her village of Boca Pariamanu, and now supports a Mayan women's cacao collective in Guatemala as well.

She is also a songwriter, musician, and African style drummer.

Fatua is grateful to be of service to Pachamama, our beautiful planet earth, and humanity at this time. She believes we are here to cultivate the new earth we dream of, and is dedicated to helping you find your freedom within, to claim your sovereignty, and restore your connection to source and your inner divinity. She looks forward to assisting you on your healing journey.

She is currently based in Taos, New Mexico, and available for long distance sessions worldwide over the phone.
