About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Iva Dobromirova Ivanova has been a certified Integral Yoga teacher since November 2005.
In her teaching practice, Iva follows the principles of the Sivananda Yoga system, which is one of the classical paths in the study of yoga.

According to Swami Sivananda, yoga is a universal science. It is not a religion, but a means of reaching the fundamental spiritual truths shared by all religions. Yoga can be practiced both by believers (Christians, Muslims, Buddhists) and by atheists.

The system of yoga practiced in Sivananda centers around the world was developed by Swami and is adapted to the lifestyle and essential needs of modern society. It synthesizes ancient yogic knowledge into several key principles that support good health and longevity:

Proper relaxation – releases tension in the muscles and the entire body, positively influencing everything we do and helping us preserve our energy and maintain a calm mind;

Proper exercise (yoga asanas) – works systematically on all parts of the body, stretching and toning muscles and tendons, maintaining flexibility of the spine and joints, and improving blood circulation;

Proper breathing – through breathing techniques, deep and rhythmic breathing is achieved, helping to recharge the body with energy and gain control over the mind by regulating the flow of prana in the body;

Proper diet – the intake of clean, well-balanced, and nourishing food based on natural products, with the aim of keeping the body light and the mind calm;

Positive thinking – achieved through meditation and the consistent application of the yoga principles, bringing peace to the mind and helping expand consciousness.

Regular yoga practice helps prevent the development of many diseases associated with modern lifestyle, such as obesity, high blood pressure, cardiovascular conditions, respiratory disorders, nervous system disorders, digestive problems, and musculoskeletal issues.

Yoga practice also reduces the negative effects of stress, which we inevitably face in daily life, and creates the opportunity to unfold our full life and creative potential.

In her teaching work, Iva Ivanova places special emphasis on individual work with people of mature and advanced age, as well as those experiencing excess weight and work-related stress.
