Claus, known as The Norse Sharman, is the experienced guide leading the shamanic sweat lodge ceremony in Yxenskoven. With deep respect for the powers of earth and fire, he facilitates a powerful rite of passage inside the sacred sweat lodge – an earth-bound womb of renewal and the alchemical stage of Fermentation.
In four rounds, each dedicated to a cardinal direction and its totem animal, participants are invited to surrender to the waves of heat and steam, entering a profound state of inner stillness and potential. Here, old traumas, suppressed emotions, and hidden shadows are gently brought to the surface, met with courage and presence, and released in safety. Claus holds the space with calm precision and compassion, ensuring that only those who choose to remain through all four rounds complete the full ritual, emerging cleansed, lighter, and deeply renewed.
After the ceremony, he gathers the group around the open fire for a true Viking feast – prepared with ancient ingredients such as hearty meats, wild herbs, root vegetables, and freshly baked flatbread. Together, under the stars, stories are shared and the courage to face the shadows is celebrated, awakening new vitality within.
This day in Yxenskoven is more than a ceremony – it is a living journey through darkness and light, a profound invitation to embrace wholeness, and a celebration of rebirth in the wild heart of the North.
