About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Joanna Wiley has been practicing Shamanic and Energetic Medicine for over 20 years in multiple lineages (Peruvian, Mayan, Celtic, Lakota, Cree), and 30 years of Yoga and Buddhism. She is a multiple Mesa Carrier and weaves together a tapestry of shamanic medicine, healing arts, sacred space, and journeys through non-dual wisdom teachings.
She is also a certified Psilocybin Facilitator/Teacher and trauma-informed integration specialist, supporting individuals before and after ceremony, through one-on-one care and ongoing integration work. Joanna’s focus is helping participants process, regulate, and embody their experiences in a way that is sustainable, safe, and integrated into daily life.
Her passions are co-creating healthy and resilient communities, land honouring rituals, permaculture, and ceremonies. Joanna leads Somatic and Trauma-Informed Practices in her One-On-One Sessions, Community Ceremonies, Retreats and Ceremonial Soundbaths. She teaches courses in: Archetypal Mesa Medicine Wheel, Peruvian Goddesses (Nustas), Peruvian Pleiadean (Q’oto Kunas).
Joanna spent eight years in University, graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, and two years of Masters of Humanities in Counselling, Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology. She is an artist with over 70 art gallery exhibits, installation public art, and decades of remote community art. She worked for twenty years as a graphic designer and owns her own design agency.
She spent over two decades immersed in the healing arts, with extensive advanced training and certifications across multiple modalities. Joanna’s path reflects a deep devotion to mastery, lived practice, and study. She is trained across shamanic medicine, energy work, sound, somatic trauma-informed care, breathwork, death doula, and embodiment practices, alongside years of ceremonial and initiatory work. She is known for the way she holds sacred space and creates safe containers for deep healing.
Her presence brings depth and stillness, allowing participants to feel held while doing meaningful inner work that lasts. Joanna practices how we can uncover our mythic story, reconnect with our true nature, our creativity, and joy. Her work is devoted to helping people remember their own healing medicine, and integrate it into our daily living, that creates lasting change rooted in the soul.
She has been given these names in ceremony by her elders. Peru Q’ero: Tapukuq Atiy (Inquisitive Power), Cree: Kihew Iskwew (Eagle Woman) and Lakota: Sá Khéya Wínyan (Red Turtle Woman).
