Marianna Sfyridi is a dance artist, pharmacist, choreographer, and PhD researcher based between
London, Brazil and Greece. With a background in contemporary dance, Capoeira, and somatic practices, her work explores the intersections of movement and communal ritual. She has graduated from The Place London Contemporary Dance School with a distinction in MA Dance Performance and also holds a Dance degree from Horohornos Dance University in Athens and a Master of Pharmacy from King’s College London, integrating her understanding of neuroscience and healing traditions into her artistic practice. Her performances and research are informed by landscape and collective memory, often working in public spaces and collaborating with live musicians to create improvisational, site-responsive work. She is the founder of Circadian Bodies, a movement methodology that draws from natural rhythms, exploring how the body moves across the circadian clock. She also works with vulnerable communities (refugees, dementia patients and kids with disabilities), empowering them through dance and performance art.
