Grace Bell

About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Grace is a licensed therapist, coach, and trained facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie, based in the greater Seattle area. For nearly three decades she has guided individuals and groups into honest inquiry with the thoughts, emotions, and compulsive patterns that seem to run their lives — whether those appear as struggles with eating, anxiety, relationships, grief, or the quieter existential question of who we actually are underneath all of it.

Her approach integrates The Work of Byron Katie, Internal Family Systems, somatic practice, and the non-dual teachings of teachers she has studied with personally over many years, including Byron Katie, Adyashanti, Syd Banks, Eckhart Tolle, and others. What participants often notice first is that she combines the rigor of genuine self-inquiry with the warmth and humor of someone who has walked the path herself — through her own recovery from decades of struggle with food and compulsive thinking.

Grace has been running retreats for twenty years and currently offers several in-person retreats each year alongside her online programs, including the Eating Peace Program and Year of Inquiry — a year-long group immersion in The Work. She has also authored the book Food Won't Fix It and continues to teach widely on the relationship between thought, emotion, and compulsive behavior.

Her work is for anyone — whether they've done decades of inner work or none at all — who senses that freedom from suffering is closer than they've been told, and who is willing to turn toward what's here with honesty and kindness.
