Tony Perzow
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
For years Tony has been telling audiences “the biggest obstacle to getting what you want in business and in life…is you. You are the biggest obstacle!” For effect, Tony would then pause in silence so that the weight of his statement could land heavily on attendees. Once the desired effect could be read on the faces of the audience, Tony would then nonchalantly move onto success tactics and techniques never really delving in too heavily into his accusation of self-sabotage.Tony spent many years teaching success tactics and techniques to some of the world’s biggest companies. He became very successful at training organizations to negotiate more profitable deals. But, something was missing. Some people flourished with Tony’s concepts, but many saw little improvement in their performance. Tony could not understand why these people were so resistant to success. Was it him? The way he communicated? His instructional design? Well, it would take Tony suffering from immense loss in his own personal life to finally come to terms with the answer to these questions. He came to realize that the relationship you have with yourself will predetermine how accessible you will be to learning new skills. In other words, Tony can’t teach you how to become successful if you don’t believe you are deserving of success. Tony spent the majority of his life keeping a secret from the world. He mistakenly believed he wasn’t good enough as a human being but didn’t want anybody to discover his deep-seated shame. So, he unconsciously became obsessed with proving to the world how “good enough” he is, and serial entrepreneurship became the vehicle to do that.
He started trading on the floor of the Canadian Futures and Options Exchange at the age of 20. By 22, he opened up his first Quick Service restaurant in Montreal based on a concept he fell in love with while visiting Colorado (it was Chipotle, when it had only four locations). By 25, he was establishing some of the world’s biggest sport supplement brands (e.g. Muscle Milk) into major retailers like GNC, Walmart, and Costco. At 26, he was developing real-estate. In his early 30’s he was producing, directing, and writing award winning productions in Hollywood. He also had a reoccurring role as an actor on Ray Donovan. While still in his early 30’s, and with access to up to 150 million dollars in cash, he was buying and selling some of the world’s largest closeouts and negotiating major deals with retailers like Walmart, Costco, Sams Club, and Groupon Goods. At 34, he was teaching two-day negotiation seminars all over the world for the Karrass organization. At 35, he was designing some of the most sophisticated negotiation training programs for Strategic Pricing Associates. By his late 30’s, he went rogue and began keynote speaking and training some of the world’s largest organizations.
As impressive as all that might sound, all that achievement didn’t bring him any happiness or joy. It was achievement being fueled by a negative self-concept. It took Tony getting his ass kicked by life to finally find his authentic self. It was deep pain and great suffering that wound up being the catalyst for finding the love he needed to find for himself.
Now, a recovering serial entrepreneur, Tony is committed to going deep with the people and organizations he works with. He is dedicated to helping people exorcise the beliefs and behaviors that impede on their sense of self while also helping them build a foundation of self-love and authenticity. It is only with that heart-centered foundation that success, abundance, and joy can all become integrated.
Tony looks forward to helping you get what you want in your life and career. But, more importantly, he looks forward to supporting you in creating a life where the things that you get are authentically wanted.
