Brigitte Bauer, a certified Ayurveda teacher and therapist
About the Teacher
Why study with them?
Brigitte discovered her love for nature and plants in early childhood and at the age of 13 she got her first initiation into transcendental meditation. At the age of 25 she met her first Ayurveda master and graduated at the Istituto Italiano di Ayurveda di Firenze (The Italian Ayurvedic Institute, Florence). She studied under Vaidya Bhagwan Dash and Lalita Kashap, to whom she owes her love of this ancient art. They are directors of an Ayurvedic hospital in New Delhi, where she practised various treatments, including Panchakarma.
She continued her studies in Rishikesh in Northern India, where she offered Ayurvedic massage therapy in ashrams (spiritual retreats). She also began practising and expanding her knowledge of massage for babies and children in Orissa, at the Prabhuji yoga school.
Brigitte has also travelled extensively in India in order to deepen her knowledge of Ayurveda. These journeys have allowed her to establish a profound contact with the practice of Ayurveda and to incorporate it into the life she shares with her family and with her clients and her students.
Ayurveda is known in India as the “hand of the Mother”. As the mother of three it is this aspect of her training and learning that really speaks to her and has inspired her in her professional trajectory.
The knowledge and practical skills that you learn during her courses can transform your life and fill it with joy, love, self-awareness, greater consideration, and awareness towards those around you.
These courses offer a basic knowledge of Ayurveda that can be applied in your daily life.
She also offers consultations and treatments in:
- Diet and the use of plants and spices in Ayurveda
- Ayurveda massages and specific treatments
- Ayurvedic practices to implement in daily life to improve lifestyle
During the last 10 years she studied and developed a bridge between the ancient tradition in India and Western, more modern modality. Read More
