About the Teacher
Why study with them?
With a background in Social Work (B.Soc.Wk University of NSW), Suzanne went on to pursue somatic therapies. She completed a Diploma of Therapeutic Massage in 1985 and began teaching massage and related therapies. Upon raising four daughters, her quest for learning more about the body led to a journey of discovery under Deva Daricha at the Centre for Human Transformation in 2001. After completing training in Bodywork and Breathwork, she later established her own practice in Canberra.
Suzanne's interest and dedication to natural health therapies has continued throughout her life…instilling knowledge in Nutrition, Iridology, Reflexology, the Australian Bush Flower Essences and the therapeutic use of essential oils. Her professional interests have included alternative cancer therapies, woman's health, pre and peri-natal psychology and mental health issues particularly anxiety, depression and addiction.
Spiritually, Suzanne has endured her own challenges and life passages that have contributed to her evolution and formation as a woman, mother and practitioner. Initiations into Native American spirituality, Tantra and Shamanism have continued to shape her experience of and the many dimensions of healing.
Now, a "wise woman", Suzanne offers "medicine" in the form of presence, sensitive informed touch and the facilitation of movement of breath and life energy in the body. A safe place is provided for healing of body, mind and spirit.
