"Cranio-Sacral Therapy"

Cranio-Sacral therapy is a manual treatment that is applied with a subtle touch, on the whole body but mainly on the cranio-sacral system. It has its origin in cranial osteopathy, and in the discovery of the cranio-sacral rhythm, generated by the movement of cerebrospinal fluid within the craniosacral system. This system is made up of the membranes (meninges) and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. This in turn generates a movement in the bones of the skull and pelvis, which produces a pulse or deep beat throughout the body, which accompanies respiratory and cardiac movements.

This cranio-sacral rhythm can be felt in any area of the body, it gives information about the general state of health of the patient. And it allows the therapist to identify and treat areas of the body with problems, through the recognition of the alteration of the rhythm and its influence on it through therapy.
The treatment of joint and fascial mobility alterations in the skull, spine and pelvis, through listening to the cranio-sacral rhythm generates multiple benefits both physically and emotionally.

Cranio-Sacral Therapy enhances the body's own capacities to regulate itself. Helps alleviate and / or alleviate a large number of diseases, pain and dysfunction, including:

Migraines, Headaches.
Chronic back and neck pain.
Stress and tension-related problems.
Chronic fatigue
Emotional disorders
Digestive problems.
Central Nervous System Disorders.
Alterations in the temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ).
Insomnia.
And many other conditions.

The therapy is carried out with the patient lying down, it usually lasts around an hour. And it is done with the patient dressed, preferably in comfortable clothing.

Throughout the session, the therapist gently places his hands on different parts of the body, facilitating the release of the areas that need it, but without causing pain through palpation.

It is a non-invasive therapy in which many deep tensions are removed. It helps to reconnect the patient with his body. And states of deep calm and stillness occur.
