Emma Trainor

About the Teacher

Why study with them?

Emma is first and foremost, a student and lover of life. Her path has brought her to various embodiment practices through yoga, qi gong, meditation, singing, ecstatic dance, plant medicine, and farming. Emma strives to weave all that she's learned thus far into her toolkit to assist her and help others in walking through life embodied, inspired, and committed to healing. She has received a 200 hour yoga certification, a B.A. in Environmental Studies, and a Mindfulness Training with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. She has spent several seasons farming in both Hawaii and Vermont, and is currently a Farm to School Coordinator in the NEK. Emma believes that many plant allies, paired with wisdom traditions and mindfulness practices, have the ability to aid humanity in our collective evolution towards more harmonious ways of being in relationship with ourselves, each other, and the planet. She comes to Rootstock to offer her unique gifts and to learn through being in community with others, and can often be found sharing her heart with her voice and guitar.
