Ekanem is a family music leader, teacher, child development researcher, and vocal freedom facilitator from St. Louis. For fifteen years she has helped over 1,000 infants and preschool children and their families discover their voices and how to make their own fun together in music. Her research perspective on music as communication in early childhood combines with years of studio and classroom teaching to result in her ATTUNED approach. The ATTUNED approach harmonizes mind, emotion, body, and voice in relationships between parents and children through parent coaching, family music sessions, and multi-family sessions.
