Why study with them?
Graduating with a 5 years Honors Bachelor degree of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from Gujarat Ayurveda University in 1984, Vaidya Nitin Shah traveled to the holy city of Varanasi for a one-year post-graduate degree in Yoga and Ayurvedic Surgery. He then went on to complete a 3-year Doctorate degree to attain an MD in Ayurveda and Surgery.
He practiced Ayurveda in India for 6 years before moving to Europe, and then North America, where he has continued his practice for the last 16 years. His knowledge and experience is vast in the fields of Ayurveda Panchakarma, Herbology, ayurvedic lifestyle management and dietetics, and the management of ano-rectal disorders with specialized ayurvedic para-surgical procedures.
Nitin Shah M.D. (Ayu.) is registered with the Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America (APNA), the Alliance of Professional Naturopaths and Naturotherapists, is a professional member of the Ontario Herbalist Association, and has received his accreditation as Doctor of Natural Medicine. Vaidya Shah, a native of India, has been a practitioner, philosopher and teacher of ayurveda and yoga for more than 20 years. He is one of very few Postgraduate Ayurvedic Doctors residing in North America. He currently lives in the Toronto area.
