Akiva Jacobs

Akiva Jacobs (they/them) is a musician, composer and bandleader based in Brooklyn, NY. They conduct concerts with their large ensemble, Things Take Time, in the conduction tradition of Butch Morris. Akiva writes instrumental improvised music, as well as songs about love and loss. Some of Akiva’s non-musical passions include comic books, taking baths, and sitting outside with their pet tortoise Maya Bungalow. In the daytime, they work as a case manager for CUCS.
